Senator Uche Ekwunife representing Anambra Central, who embarked on massive construction and refurbishment of schools located in her Senatorial zone months after being elected into office has commenced the equipment of those schools.
So far fifteen schools have benefited from Ekwunife's school from the exercise which commenced a few months ago with the provision of classroom furniture which include;Chairs and tables , White marker boards, ceiling fans and other relevant items.
Asides from the construction and provision of educational infrastructure, Ekwunife also provided utility projects within the premises of the schools they include; construction of borehole water projects to promote the hygiene of both staff and students of the schools, solar power for alternative to electricity and so on.
Recent checks reveals that the beneficiary schools are; Community Secondary School Oraukwu, Community Secondary School Isiagu, St John Secondary School Akwukwu, Community Secondary School Awba-Ofemili, St. Micheals Secondary School Abacha, Agunkwor Primary School Amoji Agulu, St Michael's Model Primary School Nimo, Central School Nise, Central School Obeledu and Central Primary School Okpuno.

The distribution of the sets of furniture were executed and supervised by Senator Uche Ekwunife's constituency liason staff. Parents, teachers and scholars have since expressed their jubilation and appreciation, lauding the Anambra Central Senator for her efforts at ensuring that learning and teaching are dispensed under a conducive environment.

“ The entire school community are very delighted at what our Senator has been doing for us. Its not been easy for us learning under hard conditions especially without chairs and tables. Chinonso Udezue, a student of one of the beneficiary school said as the chairs and desks were taken from the trucks that conveyed them.

Commenting on educational interventions the Ekwunife,Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology disclosed that she's poised to ensure that her constituency gets the best representation.

According to her the perspective to qualitative education in the Senatorial zone has been holistic to ensure that basic education meets up with what's obtainable in the current dispensation.

She expressed on Friday ; "In the past few months our team had embarked on distribution of classroom furniture to selected schools in our Senatorial District. This is in addition to the infrastructural and utility projects we are citing in some of these schools.

"Some of the schools that have so far benefitted from our latest provision of classroom furniture include, Community Secondary School Oraukwu, Community Secondary School Isiagu, St John Secondary School Akwukwu, Community Secondary School Awba-Ofemili, St. Micheals Secondary School Abacha, Agunkwor Primary School Amoji Agulu, St Michael's Model Primary School Nimo, Central School Nise, Central School Obeledu and Central Primary School Okpuno.
