Malaria is an infection, that causes symptoms in humans. It is caused by the Plasmodium species.

These parasites affects the red blood cells, and feeds of some component of the red blood cells. In its life cycle, malaria parasites hide out in the liver. At some other times, it resides inside the red blood cells. From the red cells it bursts out releasing pyrogens — that results in FEVER and other symptoms.

Malaria makes humans feel sick, and could result in affectation of the brain — Cerebral Malaria. This is a complicated and severe form of the disease.

The parasites would only grow and multiple in a good host — humans, until it depletes all red cells in the host.

On this note, the thought of Malaria ‘staying with’ somebody for life, is akin to an inevitable death sentence. I can imagine it is a situation where nobody would like to placed.

Malaria should never be in any body for life; rather, with potent antimalarials like the World health Organization recommended Artemisnin Combination Therapy (ACT) derived drugs.

You should also know that there are drugs that prevents the development of Malaria; most antimalaria treatment regimens involve curative medications.
