*ALL THE STATES GOVERNORS AND THE THIRTY-SIX (36) HEALTH COMMISSIONERS ARE HOLDING A MEETING ON THE PRIMARY HEALTHCARE LEADERSHIP AND FUNDING IN ABUJA*


*The Kogi State Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Zakari Usman and his counterparts from the thirty six (36) states in Nigeria are in a meeting with all the States Governors in Abuja; the nation's capital.*

*The agenda of the meeting is to jointly look at the Primary Health Care Leadership interms of challenges and funding.*

*It is a meeting intended to strengthening the Primary Health Care system with supports from Nigeria Governors Forum, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and Aliko Dangote foundation.*

*It is like a performance based funding and states that do well will be celebrated and given more funding.*

*Dr. Zakari Usman as the overall focal expert in charge of the Kogi State's Ministry of Health is present at the meeting to help brainstorm with his counterparts from other states in order to help redirect and chart ways, those issues and challenges militating against the growth and stability of the health sector in Nigeria can be ameliorated.*
