LOKO OWETO BRIDGE VS THE SECOND NIGER BRIDGE ..

✍️This is the 2.2km Loko-Oweto Bridge that connects Benue to Nassarawa ( Both State in the North Central)...

✍️It was done and dusted without any noise and fanfare... it is also not tolled.

✍️The Construction of this Bridge started in 2011 and was completed and delivered in 2020. This Bridge is not in any form or manner tolled .

✍️This Bridge is way longer than the Second Niger Bridge that connects the south west and south south to the south east

✍️I never saw any news in the media asking the indigenes of Benue and Nassarawa state to carry gay cows and atilogwu dance to go and thank Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari

✍️But, everyday human beings with grey matter in their cranium ( abi is it pig pooh pooh?), will always remind us to dobale before Buhari for allowing the continuation of work on the 1.6km Second Niger Bridge that will be tolled and levied ...

✍️The FGN and her private sector partners, who funded the construction of this Second Niger Bridge at an outrageously overinvoiced cost, when compared to the longer Loko -Oweto Bridge, will toll it to recover the cost of construction from us plus profit over a period of 30 years plus .

✍️Me and other Bridge users will pay for the cost of this Bridge plus margin, via tolling, despite the fact that it was done with part of the oil revenue from my Imo state and our taxes

✍️Please next time, as a southern Nigerian ( from SW, SS and SE,) before you post the picture of the uncompleted Second Niger Bridge and ask us to dobale before Buhari, take a good look at the picture of this LOKO OWETE Bridge , stare into the mirror, look at the person staring back at you... do you know who he is ? Those with gullible mindset are saying that Igbos are not appreciating Buhari.
How can Igbos appreciate him when he put toll to get the expenses back with profits?
It is only in Igbo land they can marginalize and expect praises for what they have done differently from other regions.
They should come out openly and mention other region where they are collecting toll.
Hopeless government.

Igbos will forever be grateful to President Muhammad Buhari for massive infrastructure built in SE. The many roads, the bridge.
Funnily the GEJ we worship left SE to rot yet we love him and hate the man who done everything in terms of infrastructure for us.
God bless Buhari

Second Niger bridge and Rehabilitation of the Enugu international Airport that are the only projects APC federal government can show in the entire South East region for 7 years, now let us compare with Duara that is just a town in Kastina state that is found in the North West Region. The list goes down to over 25 projects in Duara alone. Not the entire North or West o.

The second Niger bridge was fully funded by FG. No private sector contributed a kobo to the project. If the bridge is tolled after completion, it’s to generate revenue to the government and nothing else.

Second Niger bridge IS NOT AN APC GOVERNMENT PROJECT!

It is JOINTLY FUNDED - The bridge was financed under a public private partnership (PPP) WITH 60% OF THE FUNDING COMING FROM THE CONTRACTOR GITTO GROUP. ONLY 20% OF THE FUNDING CAME FROM FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and 10 per cent each from Anambra and Delta State Governments!

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD STOP CLAIMING IT BUILT 2ND NIGER BRIDGE - IT COULD NOT EVEN RAISE THE 20% FUNDING AS AGREED. SO FAR, FED. GOVT. HAS CONTRIBUTED ONLY 11% OF ITS 20% AND ALLOTTED THE REMAINING 9% TO THE CONTRACTOR TO OFFSET IT AND GET AN ADDITIONAL 5 YEARS to manage the bridge making it 35 years on concession instead of the initial 30 years agreed on.

Sadly, the false part in bold is what some deluded folks from the SE are spreading. Can you bring up just a link to support your claim that Gitto is funding the project? You guys just read nonsense from Twitter and rush to post same here without thinking. How can Gitto, a rival construction company be providing 80% of the funding for a bridge being constructed by Julius Berger? Are you guys this daft?

Even if paid influencers are lying and deceiving, are you not supposed to use your senses?

For the avoidance of doubt, the Muhammadu Buhari bridge is not a PPP. It is fully funded 100% by the FG. Peter Obi Pandora supporters must stop this silly lies. It is becoming embarrassing to be honest. Jonathan only paid for the engineering design of the project and the early works. He did not even award the contract for the main construction of the bridge before leaving office. Buhari awarded the contract for the bridge and provided 100% funding. All credits goes to him and no one else.

The 2.1km loko oweto bridge was built with N51bn and un-tolled..

The 1.6km Second Niger bridge would cost almost N400bn and tolled for 35 years
...

Buhari you did well, but whats really going on?

Lol, you’re talking rubbish and still telling me to go and verify your rubbish. Exactly how Peter Obi will spew nonsense and then shout go and verify. You guys always think Nairaland is your village square where you all tell and believe each other’s lies.

The Second Niger bridge is being funded 100% by the Federal government. It is not a PPP or whatever project. There is no one kobo of any private investor in the funding. Stop lying like Peter Obi.

The question is why did Jonathan not build the second Niger bridge for the south south and southeast people who gave their whole hearts to him? Instead he went up north to build a bridge for those who didn't give a hoot about him. So why are you blaming Buhari now?

Why do you guys have such a natural penchant and love for telling barefaced lies? Such a patently dishonest people. Where do you see any private sector partner or funding mentioned below?

Or are the Nnewi band of billionaires the private sector partner you are talking off? You guys are shameless and always driven by hate.

Per your mission of discrediting those you hate you must always lie shamelessly. Please Google Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority before you try and lie they are the the private sector partners to the FG in this project. Peter Obi=average IPOBian=shameless liars.
