Until they start paying rent, some people won't understand why the biblical "prodigal son" returned to his father's house, according to Nigerian music mogul Michael Collins Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy.

This was said by the head of Mavin Records in a message published on his Instagram story on August 19th.

The prodigal son was a young man who wanted his father's fortune, according to a story taken from the book of Luke.

Using the money his father had given him, he left home and started living a carefree lifestyle.

Due to the unimaginable hardship, he was compelled to accept a petty job after wasting it all. When the pain got overwhelming, he made the decision to go back home to his father.

Don Jazzy made reference to the story when he remarked that many people won't get the prodigal son's behavior until they are required to shoulder the cost of renting an apartment.

He said on his Instagram account that "you'll never understand why the prodigal son came back until you start paying house rent."
