Okay.

Sometimes I sit in my quietude to ask myself how we are unable to channel the enormous gas reserves we have to feed our generation plants and also the rocket science involved in modernising or recalibrating our current obsolete and deplorable distribution network to meet with the current needs.

It's all very nice, but most parts of this country still don't have stable power supply because all these governments don't let the power sector set its prices, enabling it to make a profit and add investment.

So, don't clap hands yet.

The issues facing the Nigerian power sector remains multi-faceted but in our view, top on the list is the non-cost reflective tariff. While we acknowledge that the current macroeconomic landscape may not be best suited for another hike in electricity tariffs, we note that the continued adoption of non-cost-reflective tariffs will exacerbate the anemic position of Discos, prevent the overhaul of poor transmission infrastructure, hinder private sector investments and constrain the development of the power sector. With government revenue under significant pressure, we believe government liquidity injections may prove to be insufficient in sustaining the power sector

I believe he did, the problem is,....8Twh is not enough...it should be far more than that.

South Korea added 553 twh in one year in 2021. Now that is where the power sector is run profitably..not in Nigeria where government sets prices.

Shipping it to Niger Republic is another thing.
