Tinubu supporters have been rejoicing and going euphoric over Tinubu and Shettima’s visit to the former president, Goodluck Jonathan in company of some APC governors.

They even singled out a picture where Jonathan was holding Tinubu’s hand to broadcast as a mark of endorsement. Lol.

But can Jonathan work for Tinubu or even endorse him?

What these supporters of Tinubu do not understand is that Jonathan is now in the league of ‘Elder Statesmen’ like IBB, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Obasanjo and Yakubu Gowon. These men will always throw their door open to anyone who requests to visit them; irrespective of party, religious or tribal affiliation.

So, just like IBB welcomes everyone, and Obasanjo welcomed Tinubu when he visited him, Jonathan was bound to welcome Tinubu as well. Because, whether you like it or not, Jonathan is now Tinubu’s father as long as Nigeria is concerned.

But does welcoming Tinubu mean Jonathan has endorsed Tinubu?

You remember when rumours were rife that Jonathan was going to be APC consensus candidate? Trust me, it’s possible that something like that was being prepared and it’s also possible that Jonathan was tempted by it and may have considered it but why do you think he couldn’t boldly make the move into APC? His supporters. Jonathan’s supporters from high and low warned him not to try it or he would lose their support and he bowed. A general is nothing without a troop.

So, even if Jonathan was to forgive Tinubu and consider endorsing him, trust me, 99% of Jonathan’s supporters, myself inclusive, would abandon him.

But Jonathan won’t even dare. On what basis would he?

He should ask Tinubu to answer some questions…

Is Jonathan no longer a drunkard?

Is he no longer clueless?

Is his wife, Patience Jonathan, no longer a Shepopotamus? Etc.

And Shettima has his own question too…

Why was the principal of Chibok Girls Secondary School made a commissioner in your cabinet after the “Chibok Heist”?

They need to answer these questions on life Television.

In addition, Tinubu should explain to the entire Southern Nigeria why he aligned with the north to take power from a southerner but now wants the support of the South to get the power back?

If Jonathan forgives, we will not.

Even sane Southwesterners remember as well!

The measure Tinubu gave in 2015 is the measure that shall be returned to him in a thousand folds in 2023.
