Biafra was supported by France, China, Germany, Israel, Portugal, Spain, Vatican City, South Africa, Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), Haiti, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Czechoslovakia, yet you are saying it was Louis Ojukwu's money that was used in a war that lasted for 3 years. You are very daft.
He is right. The man died out of shock when the war was drumming up.

Ojukwu banked on his father's wealth to start the war, so it was his father's wealth that he used to kickstart the war.

Those countries you mentioned didn't really give Biafra full support like Britain, Egypt and Russia gave to Nigerian side.

They mostly provided Biafra with relief materials to sustain the Biafran civilian population from starvation, they didn't support militarily as much, and the few people from Israel and some other foreign countries that fought on Biafran side were hired mercenaries paid for by Ojukwu using his father's money.

Ojukwu Snr was really so rich that British government and Queen Elizabeth were marveled by his stupendous wealth.

People asking where his wealth is today, much of his wealth was wasted and taken over by the Nigerian government when the war broke out, though few of his landed properties were handed back to Ojukwu Jnr after Ojukwu was pardoned.

It is worthy to note that Ojukwu family still own versed portions of land in Ikoyi Parkview estate and some other areas in Lagos (Apapa, Marina, Ikoyi, etc), and a lot in Enugu city. Those versed land will forever keep Ojukwu family rich even though the Biafran war destroyed the man's wealth legacies and the possibility of continuity of his wealth like the Dantatas where Aliko Dangote decended from.

But majority of the wealth was lost and stolen during the war. The war really took Igbos 100 years back, but thank God Igbos bounced back to a good extent even though Igbos are still facing huge challenges of the post-civil war in national politics of today.
