The Weedy And Greedy Nyesom Wike Will Soon Kiss The Dust. by Newsline09(m): 10:53pm On Sep 01, 2022
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and a few other governors in the PDP seem to have formed an unholy alliance to stand in the way of the People's Democratic Party and Atiku Abubakar from winning the 2023 Presidency, and are so blinded by their greed and self-aggrandizement, instead of the well-being of Nigeria and the party.

Since he lost the presidential ticket of the PDP to Atiku Abubakar, he has become arrogant, bitter, and berserk with his daily tantrums like a street urchin.

Just last week, he was offered a lifeline for reconciliation by the Presidential Candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, in London, as requested by the Rivers Governor and his group. In the meeting, which was attended by leaders and stakeholders of the party, alongside Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike gave an outrageous demand for his acclaimed reconciliation.

Among his demands was that the party's National Chairman resign and allow Nyesom Wike to nominate a loyalist as his successor.

The resignation of Iyoricha Ayu has never been a stumbling if that will allow the party peace and progress ahead of next year's elections, but the insistence of Wike to single-handedly produce the next National Chairman is an insult to the party and Nigerians. Among his other demands from Atiku Abubakar and PDP stakeholders are:

Atiku Abubakar to serve for only one term to pave the way for power shift to the south.

Wike Camp to produce only the Senate President and some principal officers of NASS (Reps Speaker left open).

Wike Camp to nominate for appointment Ministers for some key Ministries & Heads of Parastatals/Agencies.

Wike Camp to nominate DG Campaign, one Spokesperson and some other key positions in the campaign structure.

Agreement on power sharing to be signed by both sides and sealed by the court.

Given his fallout with Rivers State's Igbo natives when he declared war and killed hundreds in Obigbo, an area dominated by Igbos, Wike also demanded that the party persuade the Igbos in the state to support his Governorship candidate in the state through critical stakeholders who have since distanced selves from his unpopular administration.

Who is Nyesom Wike to tell Nigerians and the PDP who should hold certain positions in the country and to prioritize his personal and selfish desires over national interests?

Wike thinks himself a god who has grown to be so strong and careless, blinded by small-minded parochialism, carried away by the creed of greed, and hurried along the direct path to certain destruction.

Perhaps, he believes everyone would be Uche Secondus, whom he threw out as the National Chairman of the party because he was an Igbo from Rivers. Given that, Wike despises Igbos a lot and would not want to see himself associated with one due to his inferiority issues.

PDP as a political party is neither his nor his family's inheritance and he must learn from others who have lost party elections yet remained organized even with their disgust.

The drug-addled thug in designers with unrestricted access to Rivers state common patrimony must watch it before he kisses the dust and vanishes like those before him.

Nigeria is too big a country to be handed over to a character like Nyesom Wike.

Each time I say apc and pdp are the same, I mean it. Extremely greedy people. Imagine, the presidential aspirant is a northerner, the BOT chair is a northerner and the party chair is also from the north. Meanwhile, the pdp dominated states are down south. What injustice!

Is it right that the party chairman, the BOT chairman and the presidential flagbearer of PDP are all northerners? Wike is fighting for the south because it's obvious his party members from the north are not trustworthy. It's just common sense.

Thank you very much. So Wike is only good for spending Rivers money to keep the party but shouldn't have a say if the party wins? They must think Wike is a clown. I really like the part one of his conditions includes the agreement signed in a court.

Tomorrow starts the weekend. Get home after the day's business, eat, bath, and when relaxed go through this your write up again. Try to read it without sentiment pls. Just read it again and again then ask yourself if PDP is not repeating what Nigerians are crying about. The Buhari's one sided appointments.
The PDP presently has their presidential candidate, National Chairman and BOT from one side of the divide and you expect a stakeholder not to react.
The man dey cry as e dey pain am. He has worked for his party and was the brain behind PDP's standing as a party today, when most of them ran away

I’m not against the demand for Ayu to go which was captured in the piece, rather why must Wike demand to install his loyalist as National Chairman.

Must it always be Wike?
If he allows the party choose a successor for Ayu, that’s fine but not insisting it must be his choice.

PDP can destroy themselves for all we care,APC can even follow suit. All of them are demonic entities pretending to be for the people. The masses now know better.

Wike did what any right-thinking proactive leader would do to protect his people.
So he would have allowed IPOB into Rivers State?

With the display of insensitivity, lack of integrity and desperation by Atiku and his camp, any sensible person would question the sort of leadership they intend to bring to Nigerians who have been through insufferable conditions in the past 7 years.

It would have been the greatest calamity to befall Nigerians if Atiku and his cohorts just arrogantly had their way without any form of resistance.
