That is what they always do, ascribing his successors projects to him. In his 8 years tenure, he was able to raise Lagos IGR from 1.2b to about 6b all through his reign but what they brandish is 51b. They never show cause to let people know that with all the Lagos investment, he could not raise it more than 6b from 1.2b.
Tinubu is a good tax collector but not a good administrator because Fashola 8 years or 4 years of Ambode swallow his performance for 8 years. Tell them to show you his performance, the next you read are the projects of his successors. At least he should have how own successes. You cannot say because you trained your child to become medical doctor, then, you have automatically become doctor. It's not done that way.
Operation show us your performance, not he was the master planner. Jonathan started the construction of Abuja to Kaduna railway but Buhari finished it and took the glory, Buhari. The bible says, better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. The person that finish it is far better than you.

He only built Alimosho General Hospital and upgraded LASU teaching hospital and Somolu General Hospital formerly known as LASU General Hospital and Oguntolu Clinic respectfully.
His supporters just hype him unnecessarily while he did little. Through out his 8 years, he built no single bridge.
Thankfully I was in Lagos during his reign and we knew how thugs and touts flood everywhere. He was busy empowering touts and thugs and fighting for his political life. At least we know the number of deputies he used within a space of 8 years.

funny enough when he was contesting for second term a lot of opposition ganged up and said he wasn’t going to win the February 2010 elections because he never publicized any thing he did. A team comprising the clergy from every denomination, imams, labor unions, traditional rulers, musicians etc went on an independent verification. They were so shocked at what they saw from the rural development, hospitals, education etc that the opposition turned round and campaigned for him because the things he did he started from scratch because there was non before.That was how he was able to win the election

While I don't hold brief for Peter Obi, we have learned here that he saved much of the money in foreign currency.

Peter Obi, from my findings, invested so much in education, health, infrastructure and every area of human endeavour. Therefore, saving for rainy day is logical because nobody knows what tomorrow holds.

Even you as a human being, if you don't have savings, you are in trouble. If Jonathan was sensible enough to save money for the country in the time of plenty, do you think that Buhari would go about begging China to fund every project he executed?

We are told that Obiano used part of Peter Obi's savings to build an airport and emptied their account while leaving. Now, Soludo is starting by borrowing $100m because his predecessor left him with lots of debts and escaped to the United States. If that's not wickedness, what is?

So, in conclusion, there's nothing wrong in saving because if you save money, money will save you.

PS: I sincerely hope you want to learn, not that you are trying to justify your decision to vote for an old criminal. If the latter is your case, don't expect another reply from me.

Many Nigerian propagandists with agenda to "agend" will always find a way to spin every noble deed to appear more evil than demons even when they have little grasp of the issues they are engaging. To put it in a layman view, any good economist with "better" head in his shoulder knows that your currency reserve determines how good your FOREX will be and also consolidate your monetary policies. It simply means the more (trade currency) you have in your reserve will help to cushion effects of dwindling forex. If Nigerian government had saved enough USD during Oil boom experienced from all the past governments the "issue of USD to naira" skyrocketing to almost #800 won't have even occurred. Since Nigeria is not yet a producing nation(which PO is campaigning on) the best bet is to "save" enough USD that is mostly spent on "wasteful" gallivanting, "white elephant" projects and "unmerited saraka" Nigerian govt is whole heartedly offering Niger and other northern neighbouring countries. Baring any Human capital developments and Manufacturing exigencies, Nigeria government should as a matter of urgency imbibe in saving the country's wealth while engaging in production (which is the best way to increase the currency reserve) other than that the country is heading to doom with the plans and borrowings this government is massively embarking on.

So anyone castigating Obi for saving the state funds in USD other than the squandering is not only being ignorant but wicked and evil because his only plan is to eat away the future of the young generation and put the living in dire financial quagmire.
