The Rivers State Police command  through credible intelligence has rescued fifteen children abducted from different parts of the state and kept in a suspected fake orphanage home suited at Aluu in Obio/Akpor LGA of the state

The Commissioner of Police in Rivers state CP Eboka Friday Briefing newsmen said on  3rd September  2022, Operation restore peace personnel of the Command, acting on credible information regarding hideout of child traffickers, stormed Omuigwe Abuja Phase II, Aluu, in  Ikwerre Local Government Area, where a lady who claimed to be Rev. Sister Maureen Wechinwu aged 44yrs was arrested. CP Eboka disclosed that fifteen children were rescued and  case transferred to CP Monitoring Unit for discrete investigation.

CP Eboka said one of the children Master Prosper revealed that he was abducted at Ikpazasia market in Bayelsa State on 31/10/2020, together with two others whom he do not know their whereabouts and was taken to the suspects.
