Deleting double registrants means disenfranchising them entirely. Why not accept one of their registrations

The machine keeps capturing new biometric data without cross-checking it with the existing one. That's why it's possible for people to register twice.

However, people have been told not to register twice because the commission will do the cross-checking before elections in order to eliminate double registration. This is the stage INEC is at the moment.

Of course, this is commendable
But INEC should work on a system that detects double registration during the registration process.
This way, once you have registered, it becomes impossible to register the second time with same details and biometrics.

How will INEC identify and determine what is double registration, if it's by name then we have a possible attack on sections, only BVN details should be used for this as the NIN appears to favor a particular section of the country
