Welcome to the triple threat match that is Redmi 10C vs Redmi 10 vs Redmi Note 11. This is a three-in-one review.

All three devices belong to the Redmi sub-brand. These devices are also designed to service different areas of the market.

The Redmi 10C is the newest kid on the block here. It is the successor to 2020’s Redmi 9C and it is huge upgrade over it’s predecessor. Despite the fact that it is powered by a midrange SoC and main camera, it is still effectively a budget class device. It is the cheapest device here and lacks a lot of features that the other devices boast of.

The Redmi 10 made its debut last year and has been relaunched this year. It is the successor to the Redmi 9. Just like the Redmi 10C, it also houses a midrange SoC and main camera and it is a lower midrange device.

The Redmi Note 11 belongs to the much fabled Redmi Note series. It is the vanilla or base device in the line up. Just like the Redmi 10, it is also lower midrange device.

All three devices are very close in terms of specs and real world performance, but which one would reign supreme?

Body
All three devices are made with a plastic frame and a plastic body. The RN11 and the R10 are lighter and have gorilla glass 3 screen protection. The R10 on the other hand is slightly heavier and has no glass protection.

Performance
Both the R10C and RN11 are powered by the Snapdragon 680 with an Adreno 610 GPU and an LPPDR4x RAM. This performance is backed up with a super fast UFS 2.2 storage. This is a lot better than the Helio G88 with Mali G52 MC2 and eMMC 5.1 storage that is found on the R10.

In real life terms, both the R10C and the RN11 use the same processor which is better than the one on the R10. They will play games better, open apps faster, be smoother and cooler etc.

Display
For the display or screen as a lot of people call it, the RN11 has the best display of the three devices by far. Its 1080p AMOLED is much better than the 1080p LCD on the R10 which comes second place.

In third place, we have the R10C with its modest 720p LCD display.

Camera
Now, it is important to note that all three devices use the same main image sensor, i.e. the 50MP Samsung JN1 but that is where the similarities end. Without any doubt, the RN11 has the far better main camera and it also has a better supporting cast. This due to the fact that the RN11 uses the SD680 which has a superior ISP.

Second place is disputable between the R10 and the R10C. This is because even though the R10C has the better main camera, the R10 has more options to take different types of pictures.

Battery
All three phones also use the same 5,000mAh battery but the RN11 comes out on top because it supports 33W fast charge. It also houses the SD680 and uses a AMOLED display, both of which are battery conservative.

Second place goes to the R10C due to its SD680 SoC and it’s 720p LCD display that are also less battery intensive than the Helio G88 and 1080p LCD on the Redmi 10.

Communication/Sensors
Both the RN11 and R10 are tied when it comes to communication. They support all of the current comms and sensors that a smartphone is supposed to have.

The R10C however lacks a lot of these such as a gyroscope, NFC and infrared sensor.

Price
The most expensive device here is the Redmi Note 11 with a starting price of N127,900. the Redmi 10 is the second most expensive with a starting price of N107,000 while the R10C is the least most expensive with a starting price of N85,900. All prices are courtesy of Pointek.

Summary
All phone will be ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each category. 1st place gets 3 points, 2nd place gets 2 points and 3rd place gets 1 point.

So at the end, the RN11 without question is the better device and it is worth its price. The R10C and R10 are both tied on 9 points each.

My advise is if your are on a budget and you’re looking for something affordable, the R10C is your best bet. It has great performance, a good main camera and great battery life.

If you have more money to spare and you looking for a device with a good viewing experience that is an all-rounder, look no farther than the Redmi 10.
