Nine lawyers have written a petition to Kano State Upper Shari’a Court Bichi, seeking for police investigation against some Kannywood actors in the state.

The petition was dated, August 30, seeking the court to order Police to investigate the activities of the musicians.

Those to be investigated include a film producer, 442, Safiyya Yusuf (Safara’u), and popular musician, Ado Gwanja.

Others in the petition are Dan Maraya, Amude Booth, Kawu Dan Sarki, Murja Ibrahim, Ummi Shakira, Samha M Inuwa and Babiyana.

The shari’a court had since directed the Kano Police command to launch the investigation.

It would be recalled that, recently Ado Gwanja released new song title ‘Chass’ which generated controversy and condemnation predominantly in the Northern states.
