Abass Adebowale, a medical doctor, was paraded by the Edo State Police Command on Wednesday for allegedly killing one Emmanuel Agbovinuere, a cab driver, in Benin City.

After committing the murder, doctor Abass Adebowale was said to have dumped Agbovinuere’s body in the bush and stole the victim’s Toyota muscle vehicle.


According to reports, he drove the vehicle to Osogbo in Osun State, where he was arrested by police on Monday.

The suspect, Doctor Adebowale is said to be a medical officer who graduated from the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, according to the state police public relations officer Chidi Nwabuzor, who spoke to the media at the police command’s headquarters in Benin City, Edo State.


He said, “The Edo State Police Command in an attempt to rid the state of crime and criminality arrested a medical doctor, Abass Adebowale, 36, for killing Emmanuel Agbovinuere, 39, a cab driver.
