I am so proud of this young woman, she deserves the highest national award, not only because her herculean accomplishments, but also because of her patriotism and being a great ambassador to our country. She has never failed to turn up to represent Nigeria and she even turned up for the national trials just out of her patriotism and respect for Nigerian athletics development. Attending the Nigerian trials when she was already guaranteed selection and at a time she could have been entering lucrative competitions around the world is a display of pure patriotism.
