Professor Uche Ikonne, the PDP Gubernatorial candidate is at St. Phillip's Anglican Church Eziukwu Aba, for a thanksgiving Service for the 17th Synod of the Aba Diocese of the Anglican Church.

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, PhD is also part of the service.


The DG, Uche Ndi Abi Campaign Organisation, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Elechi, Deputy Director Abia South, Chief Ibe Nwadioha, Professor O.C Ahuama,Dr. Ehiemere, Dr. Iyke Nwakuche among others accompanied Professor Ikonne to the thanksgiving service.

This op is very mad. Infact he's very stupid. How will you say the Anglican have endorsed Ikonne?. Do you know how many dioceses in Aba Province ?. ABA has 6 DIOCESES and morethan 100parishes. One parish just welcomed him and it's now that the Anglican church is supporting him. Don't bring that politics into the Anglican communion please. Next Sunday, another candidate will still come and they will also pray for him. The church doesn't segregate. Besides Ikonne is a full Anglican member and his elder brother is a venerable or so

You Will Do Well As Governor, Bishop Ugwuzor Tells Prof. Ikonne

The Anglican Bishop of Aba Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Christian Ugwuzor has hailed the PDP Governorship candidate, Prof. Uche Ikonne for his antecedents in the State public service and said that he has done well to be elected the State Governor.

Bishop Ugwuzor was speaking while welcoming Prof. Uche Ikonne to the 2nd Session of the 17th Synod of Anglican Diocese of Aba held at the St. Phillip's Church, Eziukwu Aba with the theme "Occupy Until I Come".

The respectabe servant of God, who described Prof. Uche Ikonne as one of the best Professors of optometry
who led ABSU to an enviable height stated that with him, Anglican church will produce Abia State Governor for the first time. He said Prof. Ikonne has done well in various Anglican churches at Ehimiri, Umuahia and his home church in Isialangwa.

Responding, the PDP Governorship candidate, Prof. Uche Ikonne congratulated the Anglican Diocese of Aba on their successful Synod. He used the opportunity to assure the church and all Abians and residents that if elected as the next Governor of the State, he would not disappoint the church and the people at large.

The Governorship hopeful said he has been a builder, who has built both human and material resources, he said in 14 months he built Abia poly and did a lot in the development of ABSU and assured that he would build people and Abia at large when elected.
