Certified Languages International is looking for qualified interpreters in the United States to help us provide language services for hospitals, insurance agencies, social programs, and other organizations. We are looking for speakers of any Nigerian language, but are particularly interested in individuals who speak less common languages that are hard to find. Interpreters must live in the United States and have access to a landline telephone.

All of our over the phone interpreters are independent contractors who work from home for a flat per-minute rate. Most of our calls come in during Monday through Friday business hours, so those are good hours to be home and available to interpret. Our call center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, though, so we do get calls outside those hours, albeit not as many. Interpreting requests are almost never pre-scheduled, so we rely on home-based interpreters to simply be ready at certain hours of the day to take the calls that do randomly come in during those hours. There is no requirement to stick to a fixed schedule or remain logged in at specific hours of the day.
