Submission of an entry for Nigeria's foremost Spoken Word Poetry Competition, War Of Words Season 9, is now on. The theme for WOW 9 entry poem is - "Who Poetry Epp?"

The Cash prizes for the overall winners of the competition are:

First Prize: N500,000

Second Prize: N300,000

Third Prize: N200,000

Cash prizes will also be given to the top 3 poets at each of the four quarterfinal rounds.

The timeline for War Of Words 9 is as follows:

Submission of entries - Tuesday, September 6 to Monday, October 3, 2022.

Selection and announcement of the 48 finalists will be done on Monday, October 10, 2022.

First Quarterfinal holds on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

The second Quarterfinal holds on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

The third Quarterfinal holds on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

The fourth Quarterfinal holds on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Semi-final holds on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Grand-final holds on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
