Days after Independent and electoral commission INEC cautioned religious leaders against campaigning for any candidate on their worship centers, video of the dare-devil Pastors who publicly campaigned for Peter Obi right from the pulpit have surfaced online. The INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood made it clear days before now to religious leaders in Nigeria, about the risk involved in campaigning for any candidate in their religious centers, as it is said to be unconstitutional. According to him, any religious leader caught off guard risks 7 years imprisonment.
Some Pastors who feels they are tired of the condition Nigerians are going through, have taken it upon themselves to call for better governance by telling their congregation to vote Peter Obi, as they believe he is the best presidential candidate among the rest.
This should be illegal, but some argued they have the right to say anything they can say, as there's freedom of speech in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Watch the video and judge for yourself
