Russia was never a super power, USSR was but not Russian Federation. Super power is not only ownership of nuclear weapons or large army. Your economy, education, health status all come to play. Quality of life of citizens too and freedoms.

Rubbish.

The whole world - every single western analyst - assumed Ukraine would fall within days. The only support they were provided was stuff like anti-tank missiles, rifles, ammo etc. also portable anti-air missles. Basically no heavy weapons. The resistance outside Kyiv was all Ukraine. and they beat Russia outside Kyiv, Hostomel airport etc largely on their own.


Heavy weapon support like artillery and HIMARS only started coming in from like June/July. and still there's a lot of unfulfilled promises.

So no, this isn't about foreign support. If Ukraine had full access to the bulk of Western arsenal, theyd have crushed Russia ages ago. This is mainly due to the sheer incompetence of the Russian troops and tactics, plus the terrible morale and compromised equipment due to insane levels of corruption.

am still surprised how the Ukrainians and their Allies didn't know they were being fooled, it was such an easy deception which they fell for.

Zelensky is such a good comedian he can even make a joke out of the russian army.

Dude backing doesn’t mean anything if there’s no will on Ukrainians part to get the job done. They actually wasn’t well prepared for this militarily. Little wonder many of their personnel (especially in the Air Force) just started getting trained in the west since the war began. Sure they will never make such mistake again post-war. No western nation has its boots on ground at the war fronts. It’s still Ukrainians fighting their fights.
