The management team for Anthony Joshua has announced that he has agreed to face Tyson Fury on December 3 for the world heavyweight championship.

In what would be the biggest fight in British boxing history, Fury had given Joshua the chance to compete for his WBC title. He gave Joshua two options: December 3 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium or November 26 at Wembley Stadium. Now Joshua has agreed to the latter.

Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua last month, and now Fury is looking for a high-profile opponent because Usyk has said he won’t fight again until 2023.

Joshua’s management agency, 258MGT, released the following statement today on behalf of Joshua: “258 and Matchroom Boxing can confirm that we accepted all terms put forth to us by Tyson Fury’s side for a fight on December 3 last Friday.
