Former President Goodluck Jonathan aide, Reno Omokri, has said that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi,has already lost Yoruba votes for mocking the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


“Peter Obi just lost the entire Yoruba vote! See the way he lied against Yoruba leaders. Talking down on Tinubu. Mocking his health and wealth. He sounded more like Nnamdi Kanu. That is the real @PeterObi we saw. The one we have been seeing is the audio Peter Obi! #TableShaker”, Omokri stated via his verified Twitter handle.

According to Omokri, Obi should represent Nigeria in lying at the next Olympics to guarantee that Nigeria brings home Gold medal.

“He can lie for Africa. How can Yoruba leaders ask Yoruba not to vote for Peter because he will build a port in SS, when SS already has many ports? #TableShaker.

“Why would Tinubu send such a WhatsApp message and you and I have not seen it. It is only @PeterObi that has.

“I mean that right there is suspicious. I know many ‘IPOB at night and Obidient by day’ people will lie that they received it. But lying is what they do!


“This is a ship offloading goods from Port Harcourt Port. The name of the town is Port Harcourt for goodness sakes! It means there is a port there. How can Tinubu’s people ask Yoruba not to vote @PeterObi because he will build a port where a port already exists? Lie!” he said.

Omokri further stated, “That message is typical of IPOB. Tinubu people don’t operate that way. Asking Yoruba not to vote Peter Obi, because he will build a port in the South-South. First of all, there are already 3 ports in the SS (Ph, Warri and Koko).that are working perfectly 100%. That message is from IPOB, not Tinubu.

“I seriously doubt that message @PeterObi claimed emanated from Tinubu is actually from @officialABAT. I know that the IPOB core around Peter are good at creating such messages and sending them out, claiming they are from Atiku and Tinubu. They’ve done it to me!” he added.

APC will do a lot differently under Tinubu. We have RRS in Lagos. How long has it existed? The answer might shock you about Tinubu's vision and what could have been had he gotten to the centre earlier.

Contrast with Buhari who does not want to even contemplate any form of State or regional policing. Or even modern and holistic reform of our security and armed forces for that matter.

The main point to note is that Buhari, like most Northerners, is entirely about centrist control of power, resources, government parastatals and might whereas Tinubu believes those should be broken down and devolved to then be deployed more efficiently and transformationally where needed the most.

Look at the various efficient parastatals and agencies Lagos has, unrivalled by any other State in Nigeria, to note that Tinubu does not mind breaking down processes to create specialist units more likely to succeed than the big, bloated, unwieldy, corruption-prone, nepotism-prone bureaucratically inefficient and centrist model Buhari and most Northerners, for obvious reasons, believe in.
