You have the executive, legislative and Judiciary, unlike the CBN governor who is a an appointee of the president. You see. Sanusi has power to determine interest rate. He can make interest 6% or 0%

What the CBN governor duties is suppose to be , which sanusi is not doing. Each quarter, he suppose to review the interest rate. The interest rate is different depend on what the money is been borrow for.

The interest rate for houses is different from credit card or business loan etc. This is why I wonder if Ngozi iweala ever lived abroad before, there are different class of interest rate sanusi has to spell out base on borrowing and have to put a maximum and minimum rate to each class of rate. I mean a % range. So houses can be 6% to 8%. Now each bank will now determine if they want to borrow money at either 6.6% or 6.1% or 8% etc.

There is a need to increase the number of banks to up to 50 for a nation of Nigeria with over 15,000 settlement. that way people have option. there will be big banks and small banks.
