You know, sometimes, I think part of what some adults in their 30’s are lacking is the lack or absolute lack of mentorship/coaching in our teens, of course, not excusing youthful exuberance.
We either had parents who were never there, ultimate Lord Commanders, or parents who were really struggling to come to terms with their identities, bills and very extended families, in a country just coming alive. Fathers whose only relationship with us kid, was the payments of our fees. We grew up as kids who wanted to avoid being the embarrassment of the family by just going to school to get a degree. All of these happening at a time we didn’t fully understand ourselves.
Our only savior was technology coupled with our inquisitiveness should there have been a lack of information, or access to large data on information, how many of us youths do you think would not have turned out like our fathers?
