It is has got to the stage to ask if there is any undercurrent aside the party chairman honouring his words of resigning if a northerner emerged as the presidential candidate? Atiku has loyalists from the north and south. At a time APC Chairman was also a governor. Atiku has the backing of Obaseki, Udom, Diri including Okowa. Cant he make any of them the chairman? Atiku seems not to be too tactical as thought. Wike is tough not doubt but as a presidential candidate of the party you need to be tactical, pragmatic and diplomatic. Wike is not insisting that his loyalist must be the chairman. Can't Atiku manuevre to have one of his own from the south as the party chairman? I see nothing too difficult here to let peace reign. |
