APC Campaign Council: Nigerians commend Osinbajo's principled stand against same faith

Nigerians have commended Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for his principled stand against same faith ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Prof. Osinbajo reportedly rejected nomination to be part of the APC Presidential Campaign Council because of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.

A Twitter user @amaraedec tweeted: "I really admire Osibanjo so much, maybe out of my love for intelligent people. How I wish Buhari stood his ground and made him APC presidential candidate"
Another user @philipsjames15 tweeted: "Prof is a straightforward person. He has been against the Muslim-Muslim ticket and his actions are in line."

Recall that in July, Vanguard news reported that there was a collision course between the Vice President and the former Lagos governor over his choice of running mate. His position remains that Tinubu's choice lacked equity and fairness. And there's every indication that the decision will isolate people of the other faith.

True. It seems Buhari supports him as well as Boss Muatapha to boycott the campaign.

If Buhari, being evil and bigoted can see the evil in same faith ticket, how much more should the master strategist who is said to be accommodating to all? Why should he undertake to be the instrument of division of Nigerians along religious lines?
