Organizers have announced the rescheduling of the proposed mega rally for Peter Obi in Asaba, Delta State.

Focus Naija can report that the mega rally that was slated to hold on Independence Day, 1st October, 2022 has been shifted to Monday, 3rd October, 2022 over security concerns.

According to a news source, while the Warri Mega Rally will hold as scheduled, that of Asaba was postponed after an extensive meeting between organizers and the State Security Service (SSS & DSS) and the office of Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command.

Confirming the postponement to our reporter, spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe explained that the organizers were advised to reschedule the rally as many D.P.Os will be busy with Independence Day celebrations.

However, another source disclosed that there were no clear assurances that public safety will be guaranteed, hence the postponement.
