Stoltenberg insisted that NATO would continue to arm Ukraine “in their efforts to liberate” the Moscow-held regions as Kyiv vows to press an offensive.
“We are vigilant, we are sharing information, and we have conveyed very clearly to Russia that there will be severe consequences if they use nuclear forces against Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said.[The US has bioweapons labs strewn across Ukraine, but Russia will be blamed if a chemical weapon is used, just as it was blamed for sabotaging the Nordstrom pipelines]
“This land grab is illegal and illegitimate. NATO allies do not and will not recognize any of this territory as part of Russia,” NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said.
NATO has refused to intervene militarily in the war in Ukraine for fear of unleashing a confrontation with Moscow that could spiral into nuclear war.

NATO allies have instead sent billions of dollars worth of arms to Ukraine to help it defend itself against Moscow’s attack.
In response to Putin’s declaration, Ukraine announced that it was formally applying to join NATO.

Stoltenberg remained non-committal on the bid, recalling that a decision on membership required “consensus” of all 30 allies.

“Our focus now is on providing immediate arm support to Ukraine to help Ukraine defend itself against the Russian brutal invasion,” he said.
Despite the application from Kyiv, there appear few prospects of Ukraine joining NATO in the foreseeable future.
Stoltenberg also addressed leaks in the Nord Stream pipelines running from Russia to Europe, calling them “attacks” and backing a probe to find those responsible.

He said that NATO naval and air forces in the region showed the alliance’s “readiness to protect” its critical infrastructure.

Although, Russia isn't a saint, I personally believe NATO is deliberately aggravating this war channeling weapons to Ukraine and using the media to clamour support from their populace.
If truly they care for Ukraine, they could have ran after dialogue or come to Ukraine's defense directly by sending boots on the ground. Presently, Russia is under complete Western sanctions. Thus, they have virtually nothing to lose per say. Even if Putin decides to invade Georgia or Finland today, there's practically nothing NATO can do besides condemnation and sending of billions of dollars of weapons to the victim nation, just like in the case of Ukraine. Putin knows this. Russia with the sanctions is presently invincible. They can do and undo. The only option left on the table is outright war, and we all know what that means: MAD!
If the West truly care for the Ukrainians as they claim, in this situation the best is dialogue and if possible concession of the Eastern Donbass republics to Russia.
Remember the war isn't fought on Russian soil, neither are Russian infrastructure being smoothered daily! The genuine losers is Ukraine!

You made a lot of sense but I'm starting to think that NATO wants war with Russia.
They want to lie to the whole world in supporting the war, that's why they have been engaged in a war of propaganda, which will eventually lead to a hot war. They've not been doing great in the propaganda war, especially in the Middle East and Africa. Asia to some extent.
Ukraine agreed to conditions proposed by Erdogan back in March but Boris Johnson had to travel to Kyiv to get Zelensky to renegade the deal.
