As you all know, The President of the Russian Federation has admonished Zelensky to cease hostilities against the people of Southern Ukraine.
The President of the Russian Federation has
invited representative(s) of the Ukrainian state for negotiations.
Russia is ready for this, as they have said more than once. But the choice of the people in Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson will not be discussed.
Under any Russian president, attack against these territories is an attack on Russia, Zelensky and the West will be responsible for the consequences of their actions should they choose to continue attacking these territories.
Due to the nature of the coup that brought Zelensky to power, Russia cannot continue to recognize Zelensky as the legitimate head of Ukraine.
There are questions about the legitimacy of Zelensky's presidency.
Undoubtedly, Zelensky's position as the commander of an armed militant/terrorist group in Ukraine cannot be ignored. Russia may consider granting amnesty under reasonable conditions.

"The one thing that I've noticed about Russians is their indomitable spirit. Just when everyone thought Chechnya was lost, Russia proved everyone wrong by pounding the hell outta Chechnya in the second Chechen war. In the WW II, Russians retreated in the face of massive German army, only for the world to realize the retreat was tactical and a ploy to slaughter German troops. Let's hope this is one of those battle tactics, straight outta Russian battle playbook, and not an actual retreat in the face of UkroNazis advancing with ferocity."
