"There are many former Governors, former Presidents, former Vice Presidents and former Ministers in this country whose names barely get a mention anymore in the public space but Tinubu is and has always been a constant factor for the last 32 years!

All this and much more and some have the sheer effontry to be comparing one Peter Obi who was Governor of Anambra state just a few years ago to the mighty Jagaban.

This is a big insult and frankly reflects nothing other than the ignorance of those making the comparison.

Take it or leave it, that is the bitter truth.

To compare a strong-willed, resilient, industrious, tried and tested, exposed, gifted, blessed, wily, wise, enigmatic, courageous, intelligent and great man like Bola Ahmed Tinubu who God has used to better the lives of millions and who transformed our very own Lagos from a chaotic, ugly, dirty, congested, over-populated, poor, crime-ridden, depressing, ghetto-filled city and festering slum with a dwindling economy, a tiny income and a negligible and pitiful IGR of 700 million naira per month in 1999 to the most modern, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, secure, orderly, powerful, dynamic, clean, beautiful, inspiring, prestigious, booming, business-friendly, commercially-gratifying, inspiring, happy, modern and prosperous city and industrial hub on the African continent with by far the largest population, an IGR of 44.5 billion naira per month, a massive income and the largest economy compared to any other CITY in Africa, the 3rd largest economy compared to any NATION in Africa (with a GDP of $76 billion) and a larger economy than over 95% of NATIONS on the African continent all as a consequence of his efforts and that of his political sons that succeeded him as Governor and established a joint and combined legacy of excellence with him over the last 23 years to a man who is so far down the ladder like Peter Obi is uncharitable.

This is the same Obi who, as Governor of his Anambra state just a few years ago, did NOTHING in terms of infrastructural development, was incapable of building up the state's IGR, spent all his time fighting the workers and unions and oppressing his perceived enemies and instead of providing good governance and hope for his people, was busy persecuting non-indigenes and particularly Northerners and throwing them out of his state.

This is the same Obi who, as Governor of Anambra state, instead of providing inspirational leadership for his people was busy fighting the world and claiming that Lagos was no longer part of the West but now a "no-man's land" and that took pleasure in stoking the embers of tribalism, religious intolerance, sectarian conflict and ethnic nationalism.

This is the same Obi who, as Governor of Anambra state, instead of doing something tangible and bringing the dividends of democracy to his people was, as Dele Alake the former Commissioner of Information of Lagos state rightly said, was too busy "saving money" whilst his people were dying of hunger and starvation.

Again this is a man who, as Governor of Anambra state, boldly and publicly proclaimed that "education is not for the poor" and not only increased the school fees of students to an exorbitant and unattainable figure but also wickedly insisted that they must pay their fees for three terms in advance as opposed to one, causing many students to drop out of school and forfeit their dream of getting a good education.

Again this is a man who is essentially a commodities broker and trader that imports virtually everything from toilet paper, tomatoe puree and toothpaste to biscuits, soap and Bournvita into our country and who has done nothing to support or encourage our local industries, local industrial growth or agricultural production.

This prompted a prominent social media public commentator by the name of Ayekooto Akindele to say that "Peter Obi IMPORTS into the country what Aliko Dangote PRODUCES in the country".

Ayekooto is right.

And the implications of the activities of international traders and commodity merchants like Obi on our economy and the value of our currency and their contribution to the high unemployment rate in our country as a consequence of their line of work and desire to make a quick buck at the expense of our local farmers and producers are legion.

People like Obi are assisting foreign farmers and industrialists to make vast sums of money at the expense of their Nigerian counterparts by providing a vast market for them to dump their luxury items and consumner products at usually unreasonable and extortionate prices and killing local production of similar goods because our farmers and producers simply cannot compete with them.

Worse still they have done nothing to open any of the lucrative foreign markets to the few products that our farmers and industrialists can actually produce.

The direct consequence of this is poverty for the Nigerian farmer and producer and prosperity for the foreign ones and their agents and middle men like Obi.

This is unfair, unacceptable and unconciable.

And making the bulk of your money from such a nebulous and iniquitous endeavour regardless of the damaging effect and negative impact it has on your country's economy, farmers and producers raises a lot of questions about your sense of patriotism.

That is the problem with the Obi's of this world.

Comparing such a man to an enigma like Tinubu who has made massive investments in different sectors of our economy and who is the employer of hundreds of thousands of our people in various local enterprises and industries is absurd.

It is like comparing a gold-plated treasure chest filled with the world's finest and largest emralds, topaz's and diamonds to a worthless plastic bucket filled with sand, pebbles and a sprinkling of fools gold.

It is like comparing Miss Universe or Miss World to an ugly, shifty, smelly, well-worne and well-used Mumbai lady of easy virtue.

It is like comparing Elon Musk and Bill Gates to Hushpuppi and Al Capone.

It is like comparing a beautiful blue-blooded Turkish Sultana or Hatun with a fading, ageing, crude and vulgar 18th century Parisian streetwalker.

It is a shameful and shameless comparison.

It is a tactless, tasteless and nauseating joke.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing!

It is an exercise in futility and a pointless and profit less endeavour.

Permit me to end this contribution with the following assertions.

Let the foundations of the earth rumble, let the demons scream, let the lions roar, let the wolves howl and let the sharks run riot.

Let the wailers wail, let the bulls of Bashan charge, let the mortals plot and plan, let the orcs shriek, let the goblins grumble and let our adversaries and oppressors "cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war".

Let the forces of hell gather, let the creatures of darkness hiss and writhe, let the spoilers bellow and spoil, let the haters hate, let the liars lie and let the accusers accuse.

Let the hordes of hell, the wizards, the sorcerers, the witches, the voodoo-merchants, the witch-doctors, the spiritualists, the sharmans, the occultists, the deceivers and the agents of satan invoke their powers, chant their chants, spin their deceitful and ugly tales, cast their spells and do their worst.

it changes nothing and their counsel shall NOT stand because the Lord, whose name is MIGHTY and FAITHFUL, is with us!

Come rain, come shine, by His grace and the will of the Nigerian people, we shall prevail in next year's presidential election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win and on his mandate WE SHALL STAND!" -

That's an unfair comparison, if you remove the many infrastructure which we used federal government oil money to build in Lagos, Tinubu wouldn't have been more popular than Joshua Dariye of Plateau state.

Remove the MM International Airport, the seaport, national stadium, national theatre, Tafawa Balewa Square and all those other infrastructure we jointly built because Lagos was our federal capital, Lagos will be quieter than Kebbi state.

To compare the person Peter Obi to Tinubu is a big insult, there is nothing to compare because Tinubu doesn't have a past you can compare with, we all knew how Peter Obi started and where he is at now, but about 40 years in Tinubu's life history is missing, and that's a major RED FLAG.

Nobody is saying Tinubu no good

But the fact that

He wants power back to south .. to him when there’re available options and equity favors the east.. after Yoruba being in center for 16 years

He’s old and unhealthy.. with serious pakinston .. he can’t function in that office a lot will take advantage of his health as President

He can’t be incharge in government and in power ..

The Muslim Muslim ticket is a big NO for Nigeria as a country with heavy insecurity as a result of religion and ethnic crises aside the self inflicted southeast region

Nigeria need peace .. to grow

A Tinubu won’t guarantee that.. same with Obi..
OBi will see the rise of worst insecurity that have never seen in Nigeria .. even during the civil war

OBi is worst .

A Tinubu presidency will promote tribal supremacy and ethnic Jingosim .. nepotism will be assume as normal

We’re talking Nigeria ..

Not some regional Yoruba politics were the worship the tiny slave of Fulani.

Nigeria is way bigger than Tinubu and his ambition

Even tho it favors the Muslim world
Yet the keep rejecting it

Everyone want peace and security..

Our farm land are lying waste for the past 8 years and Tinubu will embolden and empower this same humans bandits and all to run riot

Since they’re all Muslims a

Crown it all..

A jihad will be carried out without qualms and oppositions will be silenced

Nigerians need to wake to the reality of a Tinubu presidency

A BAT FROM HELL AND THE ASIWAJU OF BLOOD

My dear Asiwaju Tinubu,

Even if the whole country is cowed and mesmerised by you and applauds your callousness, vanity, evil, subterfuge, deceit, ruthlessness, obsessive ambitions, lack of fear of God and doubkespeak I FFK, the Voice of the Voiceless, the Servant of Truth, the Lover of God, the Beloved of the Lord, the Otunba of Jogaland, the Sadaukin Shinkafi, the Odum Agu and the Odugwu Eze will not.

Your spell cannot silence, bind or blind me like it has done to others. I see you for what you are and your vain and boastful words here have confirmed it. To think I once loved and admired you gives me sleepless nights and goose pimples. How could I have been so blind?

When Baba Fasoranti's daughter was murdered by Fulani herdsmen you made mockery of it, went to his house and asked "where are the cows?"

This was insensitive, callous and painful and all the more so because when the murderers of this much-loved and reverred lady were eventually apprehended they were indeed Fulani herdsmen even though their cows were not arrested with them.

The latest episode in your catalogue of atrocities is that children that were protesting peacefully and asking for #EndSARS and an end to police brutality were slaughtered at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos under your watch as National Leader of the APC.

Sadly instead of exhibiting any remorse or displaying any regret for this abominable atrocity, with a sheepish smile and a sneering and jocular tone, you had the sheer nerve and effontry to say nothing other than that you are "still the Asiwaju of Lagos and the Jagaban?"

What was even worse and what shocked and astounded all right-thinking people all the more was that you had the temerity to go even further to say that the "casualties at the Lekki shooting have some questions to answer!"

You then asked, "how are they there?", "how long were they there?" and "what kind of characters were they?"

How cruel can you be? Not a word of condolence or expression of commiseration to the families of the dead but instead you offered stupid questions and baseless accusations against their wards and children who were butchered in the most brutal circumstances and heartless manner.

You have no honor. You have no shame. You have no dignity. You have no self-respect. You have no decency. Children were murdered in our streets and this is all you have to say?

You are attempting to blame them for being shot to death and blown to pieces by a bunch of genocidal maniacs in uniform who subjected them to crimes against humanity, genocide and mass murder?

You seek to cover up these horrendous crimes and you are attempting to dishonor and denigrate the dead and desecrate and mock the great sacrifice of these courageous young martyrs for democracy who were murdered in cold blood on the front lines in the field of battle.

Let me tell you this: your dastardly strategy and evil diversionary plan will not work! This matter will not go away!

You will not brush it under the carpet, you will not play it down, you and your puppet Sanwoolu will not escape responsibility for failing to protect our people from the beastly savages that slaughtered them and God will punish you for your scurrilous attempt to muddy the waters, cover up the truth and pervert the course of justice.
.

The bitter truth is that you have no conscience and no compassion. You lack the milk of human kindness. You bear no love for humanity or for human beings and you place no value or reverence on human life.

You only harbour love, which borders on obsession, for your vain and lofty ambition to rule Nigeria and trust me when I tell you that this will never happen.

You are heartless, you are cold-blooded, you are wicked, you lack empathy for the suffering and you are a sociopath. Your spell may work on others but it does not work on me.

I see you for what you are: pure evil. You are the darkness that seeks the darkness. The monster that betrayed his own people and put a tyrant and blood-sucking demon in power just to further his own fading ambition and feed his psychotic obsession for power.

Permit me to end with the following.

I urge you to find out what happened to a character called Icarus in Ancient Greek mythology when he flew too close to the sun because that is precisely what is happening to you.

As they say pride comes before a fall and hubris always leads to nemesis. Your hubris is here and your nemesis is coming.

To add to that the Holy Bible says "the Lord resists the proud and exalts the humble".

It also says "who art thou O man? Thou art as the flower that fadeth! Thou art as the grass that withers! A man that is born of woman, that is today and tomorrow is no more!"

I counsel and urge you to ponder and meditate deeply on these words. I advise you to humble yourself before God, get to know Him, learn to fear Him and seek justice and truth before it is too late!

Remember that you will NOT be Asiwaju and Jagaban for ever and, like all mortals, one day you will answer the great call, go the way of all flesh, come face to face with your maker and account for your horrendous crimes against the Nigerian people!

Most Nigerians are basement fools including those who claimed to have studied in UK. Obi gubernatorial tenure cannot be compared with any governor in Nigeria. Peter Obi was denied his mandate, he fought to retrieve from Dr. Ngige. He was impeached by the state legislature and fought to gain his mandate. Peter Obi fought Dr. Uba and PDP in order to finish his first term in the office. It is idiocy to even compare Obi any governor in Nigeria with Governor of city Lagos which once capital of Nigeria. Any moronic goat will look great as the governor of the city of Lagos.

One of the lessons that Bola Tinubu and those with him will soon learn is that it is a very dangerous thing and an exercise in futility to stand against a moving train.

Those that met in Lagos yesterday only represented their own narrow mindset and band of thinking and their political party.

They didn't represent the position of the Yoruba people. There are 70 million Yorubas in the world today and Tinubu does not speak for or lead most of them.

He only leads part of the APC in parts of the SW and those that are with him are mainly members of the fading ruling elite.

If there is a referendum on self- determination in the South West tomorrow these characters would be flushed down the toilet and thrown into the dustbin of history.

The way to counter those that want to exercise their right of self-determination and leave Nigeria is not to act as if they do not exist, impose your will on them, dismiss them with contempt and attempt to publicly rubbish and dismiss their legitimate concerns and aspirations but instead to try and understand where they are coming from, assuage their fears and anxieties, negotiate with them and give them guarantees about their place and role in a new and restructured Nigeria.

Outside of that it is only a question of time before they break away and determine their own future. Tinubu does not control the streets of the SW: the Yoruba nationalists and separatists do.

Those that met in Lagos only represent a tiny group of those in the South West. They cow tow to, beg and lobby the separatists behind closed doors and they condemn and disown them before the world. Such intellectual dishonesty, doubkespeak and cowardice is reprehensible.

Deep down in their hearts they want to break off from Nigeria as well but instead of having the courage of their convictions they tell the world otherwise simply because they want Bola Tinubu to be President.

They forget that the prospect of a Tinubu Presidency disgusts the Yoruba nationalists and the majority of people in the South West. Such a Presidency will not stop the the separatists: it would only strengthen and embolden them.

Worse still it would be a disaster for Nigeria.

"Igbo, we do not trust you again"- Senator Remi Tinubu.

These words have done more harm to southern unity and national cohesion than any in recent years. Needless to say the beautiful Senator, who I have immense respect for, spoke for herself, her husband and the APC and not the Yoruba.

As far as I am concerned, ever since the famous "handshake across the Niger" conference in Enugu in Jan. last year, the Igbo and the Yoruba have become one and an attack on the Igbo anywhere and by anyone is an attack on us all.

Sadly every ethnic nationality has its own fair share of traitors, turncoats and blacklegs and those that go against mainstream thinking. The renegades and retrograde forces that seek to demonise and intimidate the Igbo in the South West, or indeed anywhere else, open up old wounds and rekindle old rivalries, prejudices and divisions are wasting their time.

They shall fail because most of us love the Igbo. Senator Tinubu's moribund and primitive views are as reflective of Yoruba thinking as Rochas Okorohausa's views are as reflective of the thinking of the Igbo nation.

Only a minority of Yorubas and Igbos and those that are stuck in the past share their views. Such outdated and myopic sentiments and intellectually bankrupt thinking should not be taken seriously and those that voice them deserve to be treated with contempt and disdain.

You're not different from those people that undermine Pep Guardiola, saying he only performed as a coach because he coached a big team and signed big players. People like you claim Guardiola performance is because becomes of the money spent on his team forgetting that teams like Man U have spent more than Man City and yet have remained trophyless.

People like you say Davido only blow because of his father's wealth, forgetting that there are other children of billionaires that are struggling in their music careers.

States like Delta, Asaba and Rivers with their monthly allocation alone are supposed to be competiting with Lagos in terms of development. But where are they?

The sooner you realize that Tinubu, just like Guardiola and Davido are on a class of their own, the better for you.
