Osun PDP Reaffirms Babayemi's Expulsion, Submits Documentation to National Leadership

A week after losing out at the Supreme Court, the expulsion of Prince Dotun Babayemi was today reaffirmed by the leadership of the party from the ward, local and the state level, putting a lid on any comeback bid by the Gbongan politician.

Conducted by the statutory leaders of the party at the ward, local and state levels, the reaffirmation spelt out once again the many anti-party activities of Babayemi, the high point of which was his failed collaboration with the All Progressive Congress (APC) to scuttle the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke at the July 16 elections.

State Caretaker Chairman of the PDP, Dr Akindele Adekunle who confirmed the development in a statement disclosed further that the official leadership of the party at the various levels undertook the reaffirmation to further authenticate the expulsion and reinforce the urgency of discipline within the party's ranks and file

The state leadership in a letter to the National Chairman of the Party, Dr Iyorchia Ayu forwarded the disciplinary letter from the Otun Balogun Ward 2 executives as well as the Caretaker committee of Ayedade local government which detailed the processes leading to the withdrawal of Babayemi's party membership in line with relevant provisions of the party constitution.

The letter further intimated the national chairman that the state executive of the party also ratified the decision of the ward as it was effected by the officially recognised ward executive members and the decision was adjudged as in the best interest of the party at all levels.

Signed by all members of the state caretaker committee led by Dr Akindele Adekunle, the letter from the state to the national headquarters also contained attachments from the PDP Caretaker Committee of Ayedade local government led by the Chairman, Hon Adesanmi Adeyefa.

The local government caretaker committee in the letter to the state chairman had informed that the party at its executive meeting of October 3rd received communication from Otun Balogun Ward 2 in whch the official ward execitive reaffirmed its earlier expulsion of Prince Babayemi.

The Ayedade Caretaker in the attached letter further reiterated that the decision of the ward executive was ratified by the October 3rd meeting, leading to renewed reconfirmation of Babayemi's expulsion.

The third attachment was the reaffirmation letter from the ward execitive of Otun Balogun Ward 2 signed by all the 12 executive members led by Baale Awodeji Julius, its ward Chairman.

Speaking on the development, the State Caretaker Chairman, Dr Akindele noted that all documentations jave been filed with the national secretatiat, making Babayemi's expulsion a fait accompli.

" We have sealed all the processes. Without any doubt, Babayemi had ceased to be a member of PDP", the party Chairman declared.

Ademola Adeleke to Review all Last Minute Appointments, Contract Awards and Asset Auctions - Transition Committee

The Ademola Adeleke Transition Committee is constrained once again to alert the people of Osun state of intensive illegality and looting of state assets ongoing in this twilight of Governor Gboyega Oyetola's administration. We want to add that the plundering of state assets and multiple illegal appointments have become more widespread since the court nullified the Governor's candidature at the last election.

Before listing out the cases of maladministration, diversion of assets, illegal appointments and contract award in violation of due process in recent days, we want to declare that Senator Ademola Adeleke will upon assumption of office institute an asset recovery panel, a contract audit panel and an appointment review committee to conduct requisite review of all last minute employments, contract awards and asset auction by the Oyetola administration.

We assure the people of Osun state that all illegal decisions of the outgoing administration will be reviewed with a view to protect the integrity and collective assets of our dear state. We are in full possession of all manners of shenanigans ongoing within the administration and we call on bureaucrats not to jeopardise their career by collaborating for illegality.

Recent examples of illegal activities are as follows:

1. Information reaching us is that the government is currently awarding contract through SUBEB. It was alleged that the contractor is being given 50% of the contact sum while je or she is expected to return 20% to government. The contractor will be Keeping 20% for himself and shared with SUBEB staff. The balance of 10% will be used for the job. The goal is to increase state debt and burden incoming administration from performing.

2. In contravention of extant laws , the Governor is reportedly planning to appoint a Vice Chancellor and Registrar foe the new University of Ilesa. Without advertisements, due process and community consultation, the Governor is planning to install his cronies.

3. Another report reaching now is that Government Quarters is been cannibalized by removing all removable, even pumping machines is being replaced with inferior ones. Even the two pilot hilux attached to the deputy governor is undergoing refurbishment to be carted away.

4. The Governor has issued directive to local governments to pay severance packages of local government caretaker committee even though they ate not elected officials. A brand new car is also approved for the caretaker members.

5. The Governor has increased the number of health workers he was secretly employing from 500 to 1000 with interview still ongoing as at the time of filling this report. The appointment process is shrouded in secrecy in violation of due process and rules of service staff recruitment.

While more unsavoury developments are unfolding, we call attention of job seekers and contractors to be wary of becoming a tool in the last minute illegality of Oyetola's government. The Adeleke administration will reverse all illegal decisions from November 28th.
