Why must he be hiding his love for the man tinubu? We know he is from the same tribe already so it’s only natural according to the Nigerian voting pattern for seun to support his brother grin

His Castigating Charity should begin at home...

When will he Castigate his out of control moderators that only push lies about other Presidential candidates to the Front Page.. ?

While they shield and protect the Truth about the shortcomings of the Drug Baron and the APC from getting to Front Page....

What they fail to understand is that the Truth is like Smoke...

You cannot hide Smoke for a long time...

It would definitely come out for all to see

If ASUU did not have reasons to strike ASUU would not strike. And if ASUU strikes without good reason the government should have fired them all by now.

But I guess many like Seun expect those responsible for educating others to not know their rights and fight for them, unlike most Nigerians who are willing to put up with abuse and non-payment of salaries because their skills are of no value elsewhere.

If you all were smart you'd join ASUU to fight for them to provide you with better education, but that would be too much to ask of people who believe they are created from mud and must slave naked in a garden without nourishing themselves with knowledge for fear that it may kill them.

The day will indeed come when you all realise that knowledge does not kill, then will you have more regard for serpents, or rather, ASUU.

ASUU’s key demands

1. Funding for the revitalisation of public universities. The Federal Government, in its agreement entered with the union in 2009 and 2013, agreed to inject a total of N1.3 trillion into public universities in six tranches, starting from 2013. Only N200 billion has been released since 2013.

2. Payment of earned academic allowances (EEA). The Federal Government had in 2019 agreed to pay lecturers EAA, but failed to implement it. The government finally agreed to pay the first tranche of the backlog of allowances in November 2019 and the second instalment by August 2020, but nothing was paid. In 2020, the Federal Government agreed to pay N40 billion. It also said it has released N22.127 billion earned allowances of both academic and non-academic workers of universities to 38 universities.

3. Reconstitution of the FGN/ASUU 2009 Renegotiation Committee. The Federal Government agreed to renegotiate the 2009 agreement to review university’s conditions of service, funding, university autonomy and academic freedom. The conditions of service included a separate salary structure for university lectures to be known as ‘Consolidated University Academic Salary Structure’. Thirteen years later, the government inaugurated a seven-man committee to renegotiate the 2019 agreement, led by Nimi Briggs.

4. Adoption of UTAS. ASUU kicked against the introduction of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), and wants the government to accept its own UTAS.

5. Constitution of visitation panels. The union is demanding that the government ought to visit its universities every five years, according to the law, but the last visit was conducted in January 2011. The Nigerian government finally inaugurated 10 panels for 36 universities, six for 25 polytechnics, and five for 21 colleges of education.

6. Proliferation of universities.
The union is calling for the review of the Nigeria Universities Commission (2004) Act to tackle the proliferation of universities.

7. Withheld salaries and non-remittance of check-off dues. These are contained on December 22, 2020 Memorandum of Action. ASUU accused the Federal Government of deducting check-off dues on behalf of the union and refused to remit the same between February and June 2020.

8. Twenty-six percent budgetary allocation to the education sector. In a bid to improve the education sector, the union wants 26 percent of Nigeria’s annual budget to be allocated to education, and half of that allocation to universities.

Like the tribalists who candidly condemned Obi's performance as Governor of Anambra state, but are now obidient because he is the Igbo candidate for Presidency?

The problem I have with ASUU is not just their constant strikes but they failing to realise they can't fight their battle alone. Most of these demands centre only on them and not the students.
I would expect that once they call off strikes, they shud deliberately not request for their salary arrears which wud be a sign that they are ready to sacrifice something for their cause yet they want to eat their cake and still have it.
Their leadership should just canvass for good governance. With their strength, they can fight govt bad policies and join other labor unions to achieve a common goal bt NO..Its only them.
What about other civil servants. There are experts in the MDAs who are on meagre salaries. It's only them that want special salaries.
Their fight shud be a general one. Fight against inflation, bad policies, corruption etc so that the Naira value can be strengthened. What's the point of getting a salary increase when the value of Naira is getting diminished by the day.
You ask for increment in salary and when you get it, price of goods and services sky rocket. What's the point?
Join other unions, ask them all to demand good governance. The mentality should be going on strike action over corruption and bad governance. Not just salary increase.

This is Judas' kiss. I can understand what Christ felt like. I've worked for Yorubas and we were like family. But you see the likes of Seun, they are serpentine in nature. See the campaign venom he laced with his post. While blaming ASUU in an originally non-political post, he fiendishly made reference to a popular APC anti-Obi ccampaign taunt.

Oga Seun, don't be surprised if millions desert Nairaland after the election. And it can happen if BAT wins as well as if OBI or ATIKU wins. Somehow, many may want to get back at you.

Seun, you are not applying wisdom with your support for BAT. You can support him without thrash talking his major opponent and his followers.

You should be a smart businessman. Let from the likes of Dangote, Samad, Otedola, Elumelu & Co.

Tinubu can't save your business if the people go against you full throttle.
