Bayelsa Campus Queen Organization joined the Staff of the ministry to celebrate with Hon. Mrs Faith Opene, the Commissioner, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development; who is also a Patron of Bayelsa Campus Queen Organization. The Team presented an art portrait designed by Miss Constance Christopher, (Face of Bayelsa Campus) to commemorate the birthday celebration of the Honourable Commissioner.

The birthday celebration coincided with the International Day of Girl Child, with the theme; "Our Time Is Now — Our Rights, Our Future”.
The Honourable Commissioner used the opportunity to reiterate the commitment of the Bayelsa State Government towards resolving the issues that hinder a girl child’s growth and promote girls’ empowerment and human rights; through various Government Programs.

In her remark the Face of Bayelsa Campus, stated that the Honourable Commissioner is a mirror to her as a role model. Therefore she commend her, for all her contributions towards youth development in the state.
