Controversy yesterday trailed the Labour Party (LP’s) release of 1, 234 names for its presidential campaign council.

Some members of the party had earlier debunked a list purported to be the members of the council but a chieftain of the party, Dr Doyin Okupe, who was announced the director-general of the Peter Obi/Yusuf Baba-Ahmed Presidential Campaign unveiled a fresh list of 1,234 members.

“That is not the party’s programme. He can’t be talking about our party, our party all the time. Which party? Is he the leader of the Labour Party now to announce himself as the DG? It’s an anomaly.”

Who announced the DG of Atiku? Atiku did it. When Tinubu announced his DG, the party did it.”

“Where is Peter Obi? Okupe doesn’t know what he is doing. I want to be quoted. The DG ought to go to the North East or North Central. We are not a sectional political party. Our presidential candidate is a pan Nigerian. How can we have a presidential candidate from the South and the campaign DG coming from the same South,” Abayomi said.

But Abure said the statement of the publicity secretary did not emanate from the party.

“My attention has been drawn to a short reaction by our National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Arabambi Abayomi while responding to a reporter’s enquiry via Whatsapp wherein he said, “We are not involved in Dr Okupe mischievous political shenanigans.

“Kindly disregard the statement as it does not emanate from the leadership of the party. It is important to let our esteemed friends of the media know that the leadership of the party fully endorsed the media outing of Peter Obi campaign council. The party was fully consulted and was represented by a good number of our National Working Committee (NWC) led by the national secretary,” he said.

OK, it seems Peter obi and okukpe don't even care about the party, we know how Peter obi fights all the union in his state, from judiciary to health workers to lecturers and all of them went on strike, he didn't even bother to call them to a discussion, he sacked the Vc immediately. Administratively obi is such a bad choice.

It's too late. The cat has already been let out of the bag.

Labour Party has been highjacked by IPOB and Peter Hoebi is basically an IPOB project.

Peter Pandora Hoebi is a religious and tribal extremist with no tolerance for people who he considers not his own.

Labour brought a man with a name as Ifeanyi Ezeagu as campaign director for Sokoto state. Shame on Peter Obi and LabourParty for such crass BIGOTRY. So Labour Party is telling us that there is no single Sokoto person to lead campaign in the entire Sokoto state.

I pity the traditional members of the Labour Party.
They should have realized by now that they are mere borrowed and dispensable platform in this arrangement.

If their candidate wins the next election, they should already have an idea of how they will be emasculated.

If their candidate loses, the current visitors will leave and the party deserted.

The party should enjoy the ovation while it lasts.

Perhaps, introduction of independent candidacy would have solved this imbroglio.

The Labour Party can announce its own Presidential Campaign Council, this one is for the candidate just like every contestant will have his or her own across board.
Arabambi is Labour Party Spokesman and speaks for the party, Yunusa is Presidential Council Spokesman and doesn't speak for the party but the presidential candidate

Zombiedients once said Asiwaju will be sideline by the Cabals and won't get the APC ticket, they said he will be going to SDP, Las Las, nah their candidate leave an Heavyweight party for a mushroom party.

Zombiedients said Asiwaju didn't go to school, but Asiwaju tendered his BSc result to INEC, he graduated with Honours from Chicago State University. Zombiedients candidate could only tender his GCE result to INEC
