okay, this whole charade was cute at first, but does the Kogi State Government seriously expect us to swallow this whole "the people of Kogi are on our side" narrative they are so badly trying to paint? for Krishna's sake, what manner of a flood ravaged, salary owed, poorly governed population would come out to protest in support of the Kogi State Government? the PR firm wen dey hire no do better work abeg, even AlexReport go fit cook up a more believable story. 9 Likes |

At a time when unemployment is at its highest point, a government is engaging paid protesters to enforce a shutdown of one of the few viable productive brands in the country. The overflowing effect will be a hike in prices of cement in an already fragile economy. Landlords will once again increase rents. Whereas whatever issue there is could be handled by engaging in meaningful dialogue. If you investigate, this is probably an individual venting a personal vendetta on a pivotal company. It's not as if I'm suggesting there are no issues, but they could be handled differently putting into consideration the beneficiaries 5 Likes 1 Share |

Can the Kogi government state the value assets and liabilities sold to Dangote Industrial Limited? It's very likely that the obajana deal wasn't transparent but let's not pretend that they sold a thriving factory to Dangote. Some sources claim that that Obajana cement only existed on paper. 2 Likes |

Dangote should not budge. If they want it back, they can go tell their sg and fake traditional rulers to buy it back from Dangote with interest. The buy back money should include equipment and installation cost, the building cost, the employees relocation and grievance cost. We need to know more about the contract, to see if there were violations, but even violations depends on how severe, but violations are mostly punishable by fines. The community can go to hell for all I care. You cannot have somebody or corporation, use their hard earned money to develop your area after both parties signed the contract, only for you people to come and 1 Like 1 Share |

I am still curious where this misadventure is heading to, It is like telling Dr Mike Adenuga that he no longer owns Globalcom because he brought a paper company without assets, for all I know the Limestone Asset lies with the F.G , if you have any claim to doing any Exploration those claims should be forwarded to the F.G for compensation . The way you are going the F.G would through a special purpose vehicle cede the land to itself like the Lekki Free Trade Zone . I think the worst thing that could have happened to the Dangote Group was Ethiopia going to all out war and even at that the Good Lord calm the storm. Biko may our road be smooth. |
