Opposition Parties Storm US, UK Embassies Over Plot To Sack INEC Chairman by wizzybobo(m): 6:51am On Oct 15, 2022
The leadership and representatives of the opposition coalition led by the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, Action Alliance and other opposition parties stormed the UK High Commission, US and EU embassies to present evidence of compromise of the voters’ register and petition against a plot to sack the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and deactivate the BVAS.

The opposition leaders sought a global hunt down of the conspirators and their families with visa ban, assets freeze and arrest where possible.

They urged firm action against people who have held Nigeria and its 20 million citizens down and perpetrated themselves in office through rigging, denying the people of their democratic choice, looting the common treasury and acquiring property across the globe.

According to the opposition leaders,  if their properties are seized, they will learn their lessons.

They further called on all the foreign missions to keep a closer eye on Nigeria’s transition process, saying the plot to destabilise INEC could throw Nigeria into a crisis that is capable of conflagrating, truncating democracy and shattering West African regional peace.

Addressing newsmen after the round of visits, the spokesperson of the opposition coalition CUPP which is the umbrella body of opposition parties in Nigeria, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere (Ojeozi Ideato), High Chief Peter Ameh from Labour Party, Kenneth Udeze of Action Alliance Party, Rt.Hon.Jeff Ojinika of the Labour Party, and Kabiru Yusuf of the Arewa Consultative group said the move was aimed at engendering peaceful, acceptable, credible, free and fair elections.

Those political parties that are in support of the removal of INEC Chairman over the BIVAS system don't want the progress of this country. Shame on them.

The Devilish APC should be careful not to throw this country of over 200 million people into a refugee crisis.

They know with Professor Yakubu and his zero stance on rigging, the game has been long over for APC.

When he delivered 2019 general elections for the ruling party, APC loved him. Now they hate him because of BIVAS. Na God go punish them.

We know they have planned their way and that is Tinunbu will openly and confidently tell Nigerians agitating for a change of government to shut up, but God won't allow their evil plan to work

The 2023 election must reflect the will of the people and Nigerian have rejected APC except for the few Agbado urchins that have refused to see reality

APC and their usual panic propaganda wolf crying garbage content.

You Tinubu supporters need to be subjected to drug testing and mental evaluation grin

They act so unstable and off the rails. Which one is opposition parties seeking deactivation of bvas when bvas favours free elections.. APC is trying to use reverse psychology so they can deactivate bvas and blame the opposition .

Tinubu is too desperate o. Never trust a desperate person

There is no smoke without fire.
Several moves have been made to stop the use of BVAS all in a bid to truncate a free and fair electoral process for selfish reasons. The people behind this and those supporting them clearly know the issues that the new electoral acts will address they are not happy about this.

From the elections in which BVAS was used, we all witnessed that perennial electoral issues were solved. Those elections were free and fair.

With BVAS, no snatching of ballots or manipulation of results at collation centers. Results will be transmitted real-time and everyone would clearly get to see the direction in which results are heading.

Why can't we just think progressively as individuals and as a country?

Who are those afraid of BVAS?
