We have clean pedigree and has consult for schools with regards to LASGEMS. We had also advised students and schools FREE on what they require to be LASGEMS compliant, to the extent that schools has been directed to LASGEMS office by us FREE.

LASGEMS SPIN is issued to students from any of the Lagos State Ministry of Education registered and approved schools from Basic 1 (Primary 1). The school may be public or private run. LASGEMS SPIN is NOT issued from any LED or LASGEMS office.

In other stances, LASGEMS SPIN will be issued through other classes up to SS2 FROM an approved school if the student has none previously, due to reason/s which must be tenable.

The purpose and benefits of LASGEMS SPIN are numerous, but part of it are for: Common entrance examination. Creating academic record of student. Creating academic history of student etc. It is NOT given automatically for State Common Entrance Exam.

Please note that LASGEMS SPIN is mandatory for all the Primary and Secondary schools (Public and Private) in Lagos State.

Sir, u said part of d benefit are for common entrance examination. Please explain more. Does it mean pupils cant write common entrance without a Lasgem number?

Student and pupil can sit and write common entrance exam without LASGEMS SPIN as it being done now by some private schools in Lagos (this is not encouraged by the Lagos State Ministry of Education and this act is against the Law backing LASGEMS).
But if the student eventually obtain LASGEMS SPIN in the secondary school, the educational data bank of the student with LASGEMS vis-a-vis Ministry of Education, will be without the primary school attended by the pupil. What these means is that, the student educational history with Lagos State Ministry of Education will not be completed hence the primary school attended will not be included.
