(×-5/2)^2 = 25/4 Take the square root of both sides ×-5/2 = √25/4 X-5/2 = +_5/2 X = 5/2 +_ 5/2 Either X = 5/2 + 5/2 or X 5/2 - 5/2 X = 10/2 or X = 0 X = 5 or X = 0 3 Likes |

(X-5/2)^2=25/4
(2X-5/2)^2=25/4
2X-5/2=5/2
2(2X-5)=2×5
4X-10=10
4X=10+10
4X=20
X=20/4

sunjai:You are partially right. You should be having two solutions You omitted plus or minus before the square root. Hence the other root should be X = 5/2-5/2 = 0 2 Likes 1 Share |

Is this really a quadratic equation. Because on a normal, quadratic equation comes with two unknown variables. (x&y). But I'm just seeing x.. |
