The Korea-Africa Foundation co-hosted the 'Korea-Nigeria Youth Camp' in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center in Nigeria between 11th to 16th October, 2022 and students from Hendon College, Abuja under the umbrella of Korea-Nigeria Youth Camp visited LG Electronics Nigeria Office. The visit was sponsored by the Korea-Africa Foundation in collaboration with Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) and the purpose was for the students to experience Korean culture and take part in various activities planned for the purpose of teaching and fostering entrepreneurship.

The Korea-Nigeria Youth Camp is designed to give young Nigerian students an experience of Korean cultural and entrepreneurship activities in Nigeria as well as foster friendly relations between Korea and Nigeria.

Eight Students in company of the School Administrator, an official of a Non-Governmental Organization; Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE), three representatives from the Korean Embassy and two members from the Korea-Africa Foundation were on ground at the Headquarters of LG Electronics in West Africa where they were given a warm reception.

The students took a tour round every business units and departments, while also checking out the array of products in the LG Office. They were taught about the corporate culture, LG Products and participated in Quiz.

The Head of Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics West African Operations, Mr. Hari Elluru welcomed the students and encouraged them to be good ambassadors and make their parents proud. He told the students to be relaxed as they will have a good time in LG Office. In his remark, the Director of Management and Planning Bureau of the Korea-Africa Foundation, Mr. Jongkil Lee thanked LG Electronics for the warm reception and said he looked forward to many other activities to come.

The Managing Director of LG Electronics West Africa Operations, Mr. Dong Youn Kim was glad to receive the students and wished them well in the future endeavors. He hoped they learnt a lot about the Korean culture and gave everyone a gift appreciating their presence and hoped to receive them again.
