Sanwo-olu Almost Denied Second-term Ticket, We Begged Tinubu – CAN Chairman by adenigga(m): 1:12pm On Oct 22, 2022
The Lagos State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has revealed how they pleaded with the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu to allow Babajide Sanwo-Olu run for a second term.
Adegbite disclosed that the Lagos State Governor was almost hindered from contesting for a second term under the APC.

The CAN Chairman noted that Christians in the state pleaded with Tinubu to allow Sanwo-Olu in the 2023 race because Muslims have ruled the state for 15 years.

Adegbite said Akinwunmi Ambode who is a Christian was only allowed to rule the state for four years before he was removed.

He noted that Tinubu after reaching out to him allowed a Christian should rule the state for another four years.

The CAN Chairman stated this while speaking on the Muslim/Muslim ticket of the APC and how Tinubu has supported Christians.

Adegbite in an interview with Punch said, “Bola Tinubu made sure that the pilgrimage ad hoc committee that has turned into a board now was created in Lagos and many children of God went to the holy land on government’s sponsorship.

“When the time came for the Christian body to demand a Christian governor, despite the objection of the sitting governor to it, Bola Tinubu accepted that a Christian must also rule as a governor and that was why we had (Akinwunmi) Ambode.

“After four years of Ambode, he was removed and was not given the opportunity to rule for a second term, Babajide Sanwo-Olu won the election.

“He (Sanwo-Olu) narrowly escaped not being allowed to go for a second term but the church in Lagos also stood and approached Tinubu that he should be allowed because Muslims have ruled Lagos State for 15 years, so Christians should continue at least for another four years and he (Tinubu) agreed and that is why Sanwo-Olu is contesting again.”

Is that why he's making reference to the body and blood Jesus Christ( Holy Communion) as being poisoned? You can imagine such blasphemy on Christendom.

CAN again.

So Tinubu didn't want second term for Sanwo-Olu, but your begging made him rescind his decision shey?

Yet Tinubu is a jihadist who doesn't give a damn about Christian shey?

The conception of this dogshit and the politics intended to be played by it are both suitable for the trash can.

Sanwo-Olu is more than qualified for a second term and Tinubu wouldn't have been able to stop him against the will of Lagosians even if he wanted to.

Ipob pigs are fools.

embarassed Tinubu left his position as Lagos state governor 15 years ago yet he is still running affairs there and making decisions like its his personal property.

Is this what he plans to turn Nigeria into? It must never happen!

The frail cocaine baron will suffer a humiliating defeat next year that will make him start searching for Awolowo's rat poison

Yet, any milestone development in Lagos shouldn't be credited to Tinubu even though you agree he is still a major decision maker.

Secondly, Nigeria will rather be like Lagos and become a centre of attraction to other African countries rather than be like Anambra where everyone is running away from.

Even that 3rd class GCE olodo lives in Lagos after investing Anambra's money in his family beer business which he claims presently employs 60% of Anambrarians.

Tyrant Tinubu is too greedy, despite having Lagos state in his pocket, he is still not satisfied.

I am a Christian, but CAN does not and will never represent me. They're a bunch of unconscionable idiots.

That is the same man who want to become president of Nigeria. Tinubu has turned himself into a demi god in Lagos and now want to take it to the national level. Nigerians are ready to resist him.

How long will the osun state indigene be calling shots in Lagos State? This is the main reason Lagos is no man's land.

I keep on saying it that Lagos does not have indigenes, if not, why will Iragbiji drug Lord from Osun state be dictating the future of Lagos and Lagosians?
