Joy Mojisola Raimi , Nigeria’s representative at Miss Intercontinental 2022 has been called out by the organizers of the pageant to stop parading herself as the winner of the pageant in place of the actual winner, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Vietnam’s representative.
Joy Mojisola Raimi , who placed 4th overall was actually the 3rd Runner up at the recently concluded pageant which took place in Egypt, contrary to her claim upon her return to her home country Nigeria, that she was the winner of the pageant.

The organizers clarified that she was given the Africa Beauty Award, as were other beauty queens representing other continents in the world, but that did not give her the right to usurp the place of the winner.

The event took place at Meraki Resort in Sharm El-Sheikh over the weekend and saw 70 contestants go head-to-head in a series of rounds.

In 1989, Bianca Ojukwu Nigeria’s representative won this international pageant, making her the first african ever to win the pageant.
This year’s winner Miss Vietnam, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, is a professional model based in Vietnam.

1st Runner up is Miss Puerto Rico , Mariela Pepin.
2nd Runner up is Miss Brazil , Maria Cecilia
3rd Runner up is Miss Nigeria , Joy Mojisola Raimi.
