....Get Oro Motorcyclists Association endorsements for Senate

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senate candidate for Akwa Ibom South, Rt Hon. (Barr.) Ekong Sampson has said that the Akwa Ibom State gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno will give the state a strong economy and security of lives and property.

The Senate hopeful made the statement yesterday in Oron Local Government Area during the inauguration of executive members of Akwa Ibom Motorcycle Transporters Association (AMOTA) in Oron Federal Constituency.

Dr Sampson, holder of the traditional title of 'Edeghe Nzan Oro', told Oro people that Pastor Umo Eno was a man of peace and a reputed entrepreneur who would build on the industrialization strides and security provided by the present administration to create more jobs, strong economy and peaceful environment for businesses to thrive in the state.

The Onomkpoinam Mkpat Enin called AMOTA to support all PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections, adding that PDP was deeply rooted in the State.

'While in the Senate, I'm going to work with Martins Esin and other stakeholders in Oro to make sure the interest of Oro is protected. You know, I'm so passionate about Oro cause, I understand the plights of Oro people. And I'm taking your story to Nigeria. Vote for me. Vote for Martins Esin. Vote for Umo Eno and all PDP candidates for a secured future of Oro,' he said.

Meanwhile, as a famed advocate for peaceful, saner and secure society, Dr Sampson advised AMOTA to collaborate with security agencies to sustain peace and security in the society.

He hailed the union for its contributions to the creation of local economy, jobs and helping in the movement of people, goods and services in the society.

Also speaking at the occasion, the State Commissioner for Transport, Rt Hon. Uno Etim Uno, who was represented by Prince Victor Uweh, eulogized AMOTA for always standing with the government and PDP.

The Commissioner described Barr. Sampson as a brother of Oro, PDP pathfinder and common man who was accessible to all.

According to Hon. Uno, 'what belongs to you will be given to you, especially now that the senatorial district will be having an experienced lawmaker that is going to the Senate to represent you.'

He lauded AMOTA for its support for Dr Ekong Sampson for Senate, Umo Eno for Governor, Martin Esin for Oron Federal Constituency and all PDP candidates, adding that he trust they would deliver on their mandates.

Highpoint of the event was the official endorsement and adoption of Barr. Ekong Sampson as the preferred candidate for the Eket Senatorial District race, in a motion which was moved by the State Chairman of AMOTA, Comrade Linus Umoh Etim.
