The problem with Nigeria is that we applaud our politicians when they do what they are suppose to do, even though it was done at 10 times the cost.

California high speed rail stopped because of paucity of funds during the global melt down and again the design of the high speed rail was to use the bullet train technology in use in Japan. That is different from the light rail in Nigeria there is no BS you can use to explain away the project taking close to 20years to complete a train which uses the same technology with Ethiopia rail and was awarded the same time with Ethiopia rail and Ethiopia completed theirs in 2014 now 8 years Lagos is still struggling to compete theirs. Oga stop celebrating mediocrity abeg.
You no go school … to obvious

You mentioned paucity of funds oh ye ignant nairalander.

That alone ends ALL arguments

But no … ignorance allow you continue type rubbish

California fit get excuse but Lagos no fit

You people should show us the major project Peter obi brought to Anambra state and the status quo.

What investment did he attract to the 2nd most densely populous states in Africans most populous nation.

Peter Obi knows the Problem of Nigeria, very well, an undergraduate of a federal University in Nigeira knows the problem of Nigeria. Peter Obi is just riding on the anger that Nigeians have towards the current hardship, he has never been a Man for the people. He does not like poor Northerners ( A majority of the Nigeria populace) and that is the reason why he deported all destitute Northerners in Anambra when he was Governor. Peter Obi does not like the average Northerner, he is unconcerned about our plight as poor Northerners.

Peter Obi infamously said education is not for the poor and poor people of all tribes and religion do not deserve to be educated hence he increased ANSU school fees by over 300 percent. These are all facts you can go and verify.
Peter Obi is an illiterate who had stated severally that he receives advise from Mad People roaming on the street so I wonder why any sane Man will expect much from him.
Well, I am with he Progressives.

Bola on your Mandate we stand!

I hope your hot tears will be enough to make a bowl of Eba like this?

embarassed It will be nearing completion until the elections are over, then they will stall the project for another 4 years. It is only foolish people that fall for such gimmicks.

It takes Lagos state more than 12 years to complete a fully functional railway terminal whereas Anambra initiated and completed an airport in 8 months which is already operational.

I guess the railway workers are more worried about urchins that will be defecating on the tracks or the absence of owomida in those areas once it's operational, SMH.

Evidently ignorant, an airport can be planned and brought to function within 5 years, a rail line which would need right of way, would be stalled in legal proceedings due to land requisition issues and it's construction is subject to existing traffic is exceptionally more difficult. The British only just finished the Elizabeth line after Joe many years, ever read about the Eurotunnel.

Is it that you are deluded, or too mumu or you are just a drab? How many did he do in Anambra where he governed for 8 years? He had no signature project as a governor. Your Chinese comedian voice Obi of your project can’t even stand beside Fayose of Ekiti in terms of governance. Nice one. You just wished this was started after independence. By now it will just be upgrades and maintenance.
Visionary leadership is critical to development.

Visionary leadership from Jakande and other progressive politicians. Not the progreThief cluelessness of propaganda by JagaBandit & co.
That rogue Tinubu is not even fit to be a local government councillor.

Splashme:
The first civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, on Tuesday, said that the cancellation of the Lagos metroline project in 1985 was a major mistake and disservice to many Nigerians.

Jakande spoke in Lagos during the launch of a book which chronicled his life in politics and journalism.

The book, entitled, ‘Jakande: Leadership in Action’ is written by Dr. Bola Olaosebikan, who told the audience at the event that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), was not responsible for the cancellation of the project.

Jakande said, “Reflecting on the metroline project, I think it is a major disservice to many Nigerians. Imagine how many people would have benefitted. It would have made life easier and changed the face of transport in Lagos. Whoever cancelled it or gave the advice towards its cancellation didn’t do right.”

The former governor asked Nigerians not to vote for unserious leaders in the coming polls, saying the elections presented Nigerians with a good opportunity that should not be squandered.

Expressing the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its developmental challenges, Jakande said hope would be actualised faster if credible people emerged as leaders in the next dispensation.

He said, “This book comes at a very auspicious time in Nigeria’s history as we need leaders who can act. We need leaders who would not compromise the standards of good governance. God has blessed this nation the most in Africa, although we have not reached where we should be; with the right leaders, Nigeria would overcome its challenges.”

Which Obi?

You mean that serial liar and pretender who doesn't have any legacy left in a state he governed for 8 yrs?

A man that invested Anambra State money in his own private ailing family business which is contrary to the oath he took as governor.

A man that moved Anambra State money to Fidelity Bank, a bank where he retired from, to shore up its depositors fund as chairman which is criminal and fraudulent.

Obi cannot be my president bcoz he's clueless and only leveraging on our frustrated youths.
