Lagos was built with our oil money since the day of the colonialists. Lagos is in Nigeria and all Nigerians are free to live in it. It is not anybody's personal land, it belongs to all Nigerians of goodwill. I think Soludo is doing the right thing here and I commend him for that. I wish this could be replicated in Lagos because the way this park people are taxing the drivers is making it hard for us, the passengers.

Much of the punitive taxes and levies placed on the poor do not enter government coffers. They are funneled into private pockets.
IGR maximization is more of plugging leakages than hiking taxes.
