This is a team battling relegation earlier this year (last season) before money bag bought them

They've won 7 and draw 3 of their last 10 matches before this fixture and they've lost just once this season

This same Newcastle were battling relegation last season, until he was signed mid-season and turned things around. The arrival of Tripper also brought a positive impact in the dressing room.

Except Isak whose transfer fee doesn't even measure up to the competitions', Newcastle hasn't made any groundbreaking signing.

They're playing with virtually the same set of players from last season. The only things that changed are authority and play style.


People expect them to start spending massively upon announcement of their takeover last year. But Newcastle have been prudent in fact. They've chosen to make the most of the available playerd and not rely on expensive spendings.

I think they're following City's blueprint in recent years. I can't wait to see what this team becomes. Expect Nigerian glory hunters to jump ships soon
