Vulturereloaded: Do you mindless and senseless Igbos think you're helping by divisively promoting religious intolerance and highlighting our differences? Nigeria has a large illiterate, poverty-ridden, ill-exposed, hope-deprived and unsophisticated population. Those sort must be saved from themselves by better educated folks, like you, who should know that de-emphasing religious extremism, or reducing over-religiousity, is the way forward for Nigeria. Karl Marx, long ago, termed religion the "opium of the people" because he considered religion to be like a mind-altering drug the rich, educated and wealthy used to manipulate the poor and working class to make them comfortable with and even hopeful of their wretched conditions and humanity. They can then live and die poor never challenging their lowly status and poverty. Can you disagree that this is the reality of the North? You Igbos then reflect the unthinking reactionary rebellion that makes things worse while Yorubas remain the ones setting examples important for our productive evolution. Try to be an asset to society not a menace. https://www.britannica.com/video/186414/opposition-religion-Karl-Marx 4 Likes 1 Share

Vulturereloaded: Tinubu has an election to win so he can transform Nigeria for the better. As a sophisticated man, he prioritised election-winning strategy over religious 'balancing'. It is a good and evolutionary precedence needed by an over-religious nation where mere words can lead to the lynching and death of many in minutes. I don't know why the gods have made the Nigerian educated class, like you, devoid of society-developing sense and capacity. You are the ones who should be fighting to free the poorly educated and poverty-ridden Nigerians of the over-religiousity foisted on them to make them comfortable with their poverty and lowly status so as to never rebel against it or desire a better life. This is what is happening in the North and many extremely backward geographical spaces of the world where people have wretched human development index yet live and die comfortable with their reality. Instead people like you, though educated, only know to add to the problem. I really pity Nigeria because most of us are part of the problem , not the solution, but we cannot see that. 3 Likes 1 Share |

candidtalk: Meaning christians have no electoral value. Exactly my point. If he wins the elections, then every party will adopt his strategy of Muslim Muslim ticket to win elections. Then Christains will never win elections in Nigeria. They will tell you that if you field a christian presidential candidate, he wont win. Thats why that self serving strategy must be resisted. |
Re: Will Yoruba Christians Choose Ethnicity Over Eternity? by Vulturereloaded: 8:51am On Oct 30, 2022 |
basty: Osibanjo has been the most humilated VP in Nigeria, thats because he is a christian. While Shetima called him ice cream seller, Tinubu a presidential candidate is forgiving the vice president for daring to contest primaries. If christians were persecuted under a christian VP, imagine what will happen under a muslim muslim candidacy. |

We will never vote a Muslim Muslim ticket. My name is Ifeoluwa osho and I will never support a drug baron to be president. We the youths and Christians of the southwest are OBIDIENT. Vulturereloaded: You continue to be senselessly obtuse. If Tinubu wins, the message is that candidates should sell their meritorious capacity rather than religious background. This is why Yoruba leaders are demanding regional governance so we can escape the backwardness of other regions even those in the educated class, like you, continue to promote rather than seek to ameliorate. Yorubas today view Nigeria as hopeless because of an educated class that behave as you, and many in the North, do. Worldwide, the educated, especially in the youth class, continue to embrace progressive change and productive evolution for societal development. Not so in Nigeria where educated but unthinking folks like you add to the problem. You want all of us wallowing in backwardness like the illiterate, poverty-ridden and most unproductive in society we should all be seeking to elevate and rid of their ignorance, over-religiousity and lack of life-changing skills and education. The biggest and most transformational change for Nigeria , while we remain one nation, will come from us all tackling Northern leaders and the way they deliberately use over-religiousity to keep their own people comfortable with their poor, wretched, illiterate and hopeless existence. The North is the only region where a person can still be lynched and burnt today for 'religious blasphemy'. This is horrible because it should be obvious no God can order the death of a human being for words they utter while killers, paedophiles, rapists and cannibals get 10 years prision sentences. If the North can develop like a moderate Islamic nation, like Turkey, then Nigeria would be wonderful. We should all fight, for our own good, to help ordinary Northerners recognise what they have to do. If this is impossible, because of a a callous and unrepentant Northern elite/educated class and instigatory Southerners like you then we must all agitate for regional governance so we can lead ourselves. Yorubas are tired of sharing space with people who should know what is developmentally best for Nigeria yet continue to support the opposite. We do not deserve backwardness because of others disinterested in doing the right thing and resistive of embracing developmental changes. 1 Like |

Vulturereloaded: My friend, continue the mischief. You are self-destructive and predisposed to cutting your nose to spite your face. Buhari is not APC. He did not run an inclusive APC Government strictly adherent to the core ideology of the Party. Buhari ostracised revolutionary and innovative thinkers in the Party to convene an influential inner crew of feudal, Conservative and illiberal Northerners like Malami, Daura, Pantami, Abba Kyari etal. They are the one's who created the problem Nigeria is experiencing today. Nothing to do with Tinubu. No bigger proof of this than how Lagos continues to move forward exemplarily, as best State in Nigeria by far, while a lot of Nigerian States regress and stagnate. Latest figures show that Lagos IGR is now three times her federal allocation whereas many Northern States are failing under Northern administrators. It should be obvious Nigerian politics is today about individuals and not the Party. Quit the mischief and support Asiwaju for the sake of your unborn children. 1 Like |

Vulturereloaded: Yorubas irrespective of religion voted for Awolowo, Abiola, Olu Falae (1999), Obasanjo (2003) and Osinbajo (2015 &2019). If you check the list very well, you will observe that Abiola is the only Muslim there. We don’t care about religion in the south west. We vote for whoever we feel is better and that’s it. In 2023, we will vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President because he’s the only one among the major contenders that has a track record of verifiable achievements. 2 Likes |
