Thus, he is often referred to as Sarki which translates to “king” by the media. He is arguably the most successful actor in the Kannywood film industry.

Early life

Ali Nuhu was born in Gombe State. His father was from Balanga local government area of Gombe State. He spent his formative years between Plateau and Kano. He studied geography in University of Jos. Later, he attended University of Southern California for a course in film production.

Career

Ali Nuhu made his acting debut in 1999 in a film titled, Abin Sirri Ne. Sangaya, the film that blew him to fame, became one of the highest grossing Hausa films at the time.
