Role: Accountant
Location: Benin, Delta and Lagos

Responsibilities

• Migrate financial records from paper-based records to computer-based databases
• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
• Ensure the accounting methods are applied to provide checks and balances for transparency in operations.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Deliver month-end P&L reports and analyze variances to monthly, quarterly and annual projections
• Reconcile clinic payments including suppliers and partners to ensure costs are correctly accounted for each month

Requirement
• Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• IT and Communications: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel; excellent communication skills
• 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail
• A track record as a good team player, willing to be flexible and committed to the success of the team as a whole
