I gave a phone engineer a TCL Phone with upfront payment to help crack/format the phone so that it can be used with Nigerian sim cards but for over 4 months now it has been one excuse or another as he is always claiming to be requesting one code or the other with no progress whatsoever. He's always avoiding me and seeing him is always a challenge which if its successful, he will claim a small progress.

Should the process take so long? Hope he hasn't damaged the phone because the phone was less than 2 weeks old before being given to him.

I'm getting confused..... experts in the house, kindly advise me.

Four months is enough to produce about a trailer load of phones. A phone engineer using 4 months just to format a phone and you're still seeking for advise

Get back your phone from him

After this length of time, you will be lucky to get your phone in a fair state if at all you do get it, however just forget about the money you paid upfront, that one na giveaway you do.
